ABSTRACT
Background Soft-form medicine means types of medicines that are characterized by a thick, paste-like consistency in their external features and that are used for external application and treatment as soft-form ointments, creams, etc. These types of medicines included forms such as unguentum, pasta, suppositorium, emplastrum, linimentum, creme and gel. With our previous research, we demonstrated that in the medical and pharamaceutical market of Mongolia, there are 7 national manufacturers that produce 16 kinds of unguentum and soft-form medicine. In this research we made a content analysis, using the coded list of imported soft-form medicines that were registered in Mongolia as of 2014 and indicated the possibilities for production of these medicine by national manufacturers.
