The delay of installation, duration of action and quality of anaesthesia have been comparatively evaluated depending on the character of operation [Urgent or programmed]. The two groups were comparable with the demographic data, where as the delay of instalation was longer in the urgent cases. Failure rate was more in urgent surgery.
