ABSTRACT

The authors purpose through a retrospective study of 50 cases of bilio-digestive anastomosis, done between January 1980 and November 1996 to put the indications of those bilio-digestive anastomosis in the stone of common bile duct. The sex ratio of this series is one to five for the female. Biliodigestive anastomosis was performed for common bile duct stones, unexplained dilatation of the common bile duct and bilio-digestive fistula on lithiasis. The authors discuss, with a review of literature, the place of the bilio-digestive anastomosis in the treatment of common bile duct stones, the indications of those anastomosis and the main elements which determines the choice of this technique. Our results suggest that endoscopic sphincterotomy, endoscopic echography and choledocoscopy decrease the indications of the bilio-digestive anastomosis
