ABSTRACT

Considering the importance of websites in informing users and establishing communications, universities have started to design their own websites for organizing and making their information accessible. Evaluation of these websites through webometric methods will help recognize pitfall and strong points to reach a better quality and constant improvement. This study was aimed at ranking Pharmacy School Websites in Iran by Web Impact Factor[WIF]. The webometric method was used in this study. The Data were collected via two search engines: Google and Yahoo. The population of the study consisted of 13 Pharmacy Schools in Iran. Excel and SPSS were used for statistical analysis. The results showed that website of Mashhad Pharmacy School with an WIF of 9.66 in Yahoo and with 44.96 in Google was at the highest rank. While Zanjan Pharmacy School with the WIF of 0.05 in Yahoo and with 0.067 in Google had the lowest rank. The results suggest that despite the low WIF, elements such as number of pages, mass of information and related links have an influence on WIF causing differences in ranking of Pharmacy Schools

ABSTRACT

One of the recommended ways in organizing the information in the websites is the application of Meta Tags. The application of a variety of Meta Tags can affect the precision rate of search engines retrieval. They can also promote the rank of a website. The purpose of the study was to investigate the structure of libraries websites based on Meta Tags in medical science universities in Iran. This descriptive survey was carried out on 31 websites that included 342 web pages. Data was collected by a checklist and analyzed by SPSS. Title meta tags [98.53%] and Charset meta tags [89.47%] among 15 meta tag types had the most usage and refresh meta tag had the least usage. Usage of keyword and descriptive meta tags were 55.6% and 55.2%, respectively. Generally, 100% websites under investigation used one type of meta tags. Title, Charest, Robot, Keyword and Descriptive meta tags received more attention from the designers of central libraries. But Googlebot, Refresh, Expire and cache Meta Tags received less attention. Librarians' participation in creating library websites and the application of meta tags will play important role in electronic information retrieval

ABSTRACT

Obesity which is produced due to excessive accumulation of fat in body compartments could result from imbalance between intake and consumption of energy and is related to the food habits of each person. The aim of this study was to assess obesity and its relationship with female adolescents food habits in Tehran. It was a predictive correlational study. The sample consisted of 385, 14-18 year old female students in west of Tehran. The students were recruited by multistage random sampling. Data was collected by Food Frequency Questionnaire, caliper, tape measure and measurement scale and analyzed by ANOVA. Pierson correlation and multiple regression tests using SPSS-PC [v.14]. According to the findings, %18 of the students were overweight and obese based on Triceps skin fold thickness and %15 were overweight and obese based on body mass index. Frequency of daily consumption of bread and cereals, rice, fat, soft drinks and egg among overweight and obese students were significantly higher than other groups [p<0.05]. Due to the high consumption of unhealthy food among overweight and obese girls the prevalence of chronic diseases associated with obesity in the future is disturbing. Therefore, promotion of healthy nutrition and health education in schools and families by those involved in the health sector particularly community health nurses seem to be necessary

In this cross sectional study, a total number of 100 women whose pregnancies have occurred using ARTs referring to three infertility centers of Tehran were recruited by convenience sampling. Anxiety was measured by Beck Anxiety inventory [BAI] and data related to infertility and obstetrics factors were collected by a researcher made questionnaire and was analyzed using SPSS-PC [v.14] by chi-square and fisher test. The mean age of the sample was 33.7 +/- 6.8 and the mean marriage duration, gestational age, infertility duration, and the number of ARTs treatment failures was 8.7 +/- 5.1, 20.1 +/- 10.8, 7.3 +/- 5.3 and 1.9 +/- 1.6 respectively. The findings revealed that 34% of the subjects were suffering from anxiety. There were significant relationships between anxiety levels and infertility duration [P=0.03] and also a history of treatment failure [p=0.02]. No significant relationship was found between anxiety and obstetrics factors. Infertility duration and a history of treatment failure were the two factors that affected the anxiety level during this king of pregnancy. Accordingly these women are required to be under special considerations from the beginning of infertility diagnosis and also before, during and after pregnancy

ABSTRACT

Breast feeding is the most important and decisive factor in Children's state of health and nutrition, especially in societies with lower socio-economic status. Beastfeeding plays an important role in child health and development. Acordingly this study was carried out with the aim of determining the ralationship between breastfeeding and child weigth gain up to the end of 24 months of age. It was a correlational predictive study. The sample consisted of 307 mothers of 2-3 years old children who have been visited for monitoring their children's growth in heath canters of west of Tehran. They were recruited by stratified sampling method. Mothers and children's data was collected by questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS-PC-[v.10]. Pearson correlation test indicated that there is no significant relationship between breastfeeding duration and children's weight in 6 and 12 months of age. However, there was a converse significant relationship between breastfeeding duration and the children's weight in 24 months of age [p=0.003]. There was also a significant relationship between the children's sex and their weight in 6, 12 and 24 months of age [p=0.000]. No significant association was found between children's weight in 6, 12 and 24 months of age and mothers' age, number of deliveries, mothers' level of education and job status, participation in educational courses for breast feeding, and the time of breastfeeding initiation after delivery. Children fell within normal limits for weight when breastfeeding duration was longer and vice versa. Regarding the undesirable effects [eg. malnutrition and obesity] of shortening the breastfeeding period on child health, provision of support as well as education about breastfeeding continuation is recommended

ABSTRACT

Post-kidney transplant survival relies on patient adherence to the intake of immunosuppressive medication. Non-adherence to immunosuppressive drugs leads to rejection, graft loss, dialysis, lower quality of life, increased costs and mortality. Quality of life may be useful to identify non-adherence. The aim of the current study was to examine the relationship between medication adherence and quality of life in renal transplant patients. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study in which 230 patients who were more than 18 years old and at least 3 month elapsed from their graft participated. Data were collected by Immunosuppressant Therapy Adherence Scale [2005] and Quality of Life in Kidney Transplant Patient questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SPSS, version 15. Finding showed that the mean score and standard deviation of quality of life were 21.65 and 4.039, respectively, and 57.8% of patients were non-adherent. A statistically significant and indirect relationship was found between adherence and quality of life [p < 0.001, rETA=0.23]. Regarding the results that showed the relationship between adherence and quality of life in patients, nurses should consider immunosuppressant adherence in teaching and caring as a health promoting strategy
