ABSTRACT

Serum copper [cu], zinc [zn] and magnesium [Mg] are measured in 30 children suffering from different renal diseases [10 cases with nephritic syndrome [Ns], 10 cases of acute glomerulonephritis [AGN] and 10 cases of chronic renal failure [CRF] as well as in 10 healthy controls, In nephritic patients there was hypocuperemia, hypozincemia and hypomagnesimia. Also there was a correlation between serum Cu and Mg and serum albumin. In patients with AGN, normal serum Cu and Mg was found while here was hypozincemia. In patients with CRF we found hypozincemia, hypercuperemia and hypomagnesmia. Also there was a fair correction between serum Cu and serum creatinie and a negative correlation between serum Zn and serum creatinie
