ABSTRACT
RESUMO O Futsac é um esporte criado em Curitiba - PR em 2002, pelo empresário Marcos Juliano Ofenbock. A modalidade foi reconhecida oficialmente pelo Ministério do Esporte Brasileiro em 2014, em que demonstrou forte processo de inserção no meio político. O presente estudo mapeou os caminhos adotados pelo idealizador da modalidade nos campos políticos do Brasil. Os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que as relações estabelecidas pelo criador do Futsac com determinados membros das esferas legislativas e executivas, que já possuíam imagem vinculada ao meio esportivo no cenário curitibano e paranaense, facilitaram a estruturação legal da modalidade dentro do Ministério do Esporte.
ABSTRACT Futsac is a sport created in Curitiba - PR in 2002, by businessman Marcos Juliano Ofenbock. The modality was officially recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Sports in 2014, where it demonstrated a strong process of insertion in the political environment. Our study mapped the paths adopted by the creator of Futsac in the political fields of Brazil. The results of our research showed that the relations established by the creator of Futsac with certain members of the legislative and executive spheres of Curitiba and Paraná political scenario, which already had an image linked to sports policies, facilitated the legal structuring of the modality within the Ministry of Sports.

A presente resenha compreende uma análise sobre o livro Sport Italia The Italian Love Affair With Sport, obra que tematiza a trajetória do esporte no contexto italiano, explorando principalmente sua relação com a formação cultural do país. O livro apresenta a relação singular que a Itália apresenta com modalidades esportivas como futebol, automobilismo e ciclismo. O autor aponta que existe uma forte imbricação do fenômeno esportivo com as esferas política e religiosa. Nesse sentido, aponta-se que o livro justifica sua relevância acadêmica por conciliar o estudo da cultura esportiva italiana com análises amparadas por uma considerável quantidade de fontes primárias.
This review includes an analysis of the book Sport Italia - The Italian Love Affair With Sport, a work that thematizes the trajectory of the sport in the Italian context, exploring mainly its relation with the cultural formation of the country. The book presents the unique relationship that Italy presents with sports such as football, motor racing and cycling. The author points out that there is a strong imbrication of the sports phenomenon with the political and religious spheres. In this sense, it is pointed out that the book justifies its academic relevance by conciliating the study of the Italian sports culture with analyzes supported by a considerable amount of primary sources.
La presente reseña incluye un análisis sobre el libro Sport Italia - The Italian Love Affair With Sport, obra que tematiza la trayectoria del deporte en el contexto italiano, explorando principalmente su relación con la formación cultural del país. El libro presenta la relación singular que Italia presenta con modalidades deportivas como fútbol, automovilismo y ciclismo. El autor apunta que existe una fuerte imbricación del fenómeno deportivo con las esferas política y religiosa. En ese sentido, se apunta que el libro justifica su relevancia académica por conciliar el estudio de la cultura deportiva italiana con análisis amparados por una considerable cantidad de fuentes primarias.

A presente resenha retrata a obra de Steven Overman, denominada "The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Sport: How Calvinism and Capitalism Shaped America's Games". Sob linhagem teórica weberiana e com influência direta de Allen Guttmann, o autor resgata as doutrinas puritanas do período reformista, como consequência e causa do espírito capitalista americano. Ao propor as sete virtudes calvinistas como características essenciais da ética protestante, Overman demonstra como as mesmas culminaram no establishment das instituições americanas, inclusive as relacionadas à esfera esportiva. Ao relacionar as virtudes e doutrinas oriundas da reforma no ethos americano, o autor identifica suas correspondências no espírito do esporte, demonstrando como competições escolares e universitárias, o olimpismo moderno e a profissionalização de clubes e atletas, comungam com o capitalismo e protestantismo nos EUA.
The present review depicts Steven Overman's book "Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Sport: How Calvinism and Capitalism Shaped America's Games." Under Weberian theoretical lineage and with direct influence of Allen Guttmann, the author sees puritan doctrines of the reformist period as both consequence and cause of the American spirit of capitalism. By proposing seven Calvinistic virtues as essential features of Protestant ethic, Overman demonstrates how they culminated in the establishment of American institutions, including those related to the sphere of sport. By relating virtues and doctrines coming from the reform in the American ethos, the author identifies his correspondences in the spirit of sport, demonstrating how school and college competitions, the Olympic movement and the professionalization of clubs and athletes commune with the USA's capitalism and Protestantism.
La presente reseña retrata la obra de Steven Overman, denominada "The Protestant Ethic and the spirit of sport: How calvinism and capitalism shaped America's Games". En linaje teórica weberiana y con influencia directa de Allen Guttmann, el autor rescata las doctrinas puritanas del período reformista como consecuencia y causa del espíritu capitalista americano. Al proponer las siete virtudes calvinistas como características esenciales de la ética protestante, Overman demuestra cómo las mismas culminaron en el establishment de las instituciones americanas incluso las relacionadas a la esfera deportiva. Al relacionar las virtudes y doctrinas oriundas de la reforma en el ethos americano el autor identifica sus correspondencias en el espíritu del deporte, demostrando como competiciones escolares y universitarias, el olimpismo moderno y la profesionalización de clubes y atletas, comulgan con el capitalismo y protestantismo de Estados Unidos.
