ABSTRACT

Twenty pes [10 right and 10 left] of the one-humped camel collected from Damanhour Slaughterhouse had dissected, and the anatomical parts of the foot pad including the sole, common cavering and the cushion were described. Besides, the very complex topographical position of the cushions and especially the relation of the dorsal surface of the middle cushion was described

ABSTRACT

The study of the digital flexor tendon, and their sheaths of the pes of the camel was carried out on 10 fresh specimens which were dissected after injection their sheaths. Barium sulfate was also injected for X-ray radiograph into tendon sheath of five specimens. The morphological feature and mode of termination of each tendon was recorded. Moreover, the extension of the tendon sheath and the suitable site of its injection was demonstrated

ABSTRACT

The ovarian artery, in 100 buffalos' internal genital organs in the different reproductive stages, was injected by different materials, described and the mode of its termination was illustrated. The A. ovarica terminated by bifurcation into R. uterinus and a common stem for the R. ovarica and R. tubarius in different reproductive stages. Along its course the A. ovarica was closely applied to the ventral aspect of the utero- ovarian vein. The R. ovarica was tortuous, its length and degree of tortuousity differs greatly in the different reproductive phases. The R. ovarica terminated by division into several orders, the number of branches of each order which enter the ovary is differed in the different reproductive stages. The R. tubarius is nearly straight and terminates mostly by dividing into R. tubarius proximalis, medius and distalis. The R. uterinus runs in slightly flexuous course and near the tip of the uterine horn terminates by dividing into R. medialis and R. lateralis

ABSTRACT

The tendons of the dorsal aspect of food of the camel include tendon of the M. tibialis cranialis, M. fifibularis terius, of M. extensor digitorum longus, M. extensor digitorum lateralis and M. extensor digitorum bervis. The morphological feature, course and mode of termination of each of the previous tendons were studied. Also, this study extends to include the extension and relation of the synovial sheath of their tendon, on the flexor aspect of tarsal joint

ABSTRACT

The uterine artery, in 100 buffalos internal genital organs in the different reproductive stages, was injected by different materials, examined and described. The mode of its branching was illustrated. A. uterina is terminated by dividing into R. uterinus, cranialis and caudalis, the exceptional cases were recorded. The diameter, length and the angle of the bifurcation of A. uterina are affected by the age of the animal and the reproductive stages

ABSTRACT

The internal genital organs of 100 buffalos, in the different reproductive stages were used; the ovarian and uterine arteries were injected by different materials and R. anastomoticus was tested. In the buffalo, the diameter of the utero-ovarian arterial anastomosis at its connection with the branches of the A. uterina was larger than at its connection with R. uterinus, A. ovarica. This indicated that the flow of the blood through the utero-ovarian arterial anastomosis was toward the R. uterinus of A. ovarica. Moreover, the diameter of this anastomosis varies in the different reproductive phases. Depending on the direction of the flow, the physiological role of the utero-ovarian arterial anastomosis might contribute to the preparation of the ipsilateral uterine tube and uterine horn for pregnancy, or to the arterial needs of the highly vascularized Corpus luteum

ABSTRACT

To assess the potential use of plasma apolipoproteins as risk factors for CAD, 24 patients with CAD diagnosed by typical history, careful clinical examination and diagnostic E.C.G. and also 20 normal volunteer persons serving as controls had been subjected to the following study: 1-full medical history. 2-full clinical examination. 3-E.C.G. 4-fasting and post prandial blood sugar. 5-fasting serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol. 6-serum Apo-A and Apo-B. The results of this work showed: I. Patients with CAD have significantly higher mean levels of serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL-c and Apo-B, than that of the controls. II. Patients with CAD have lower mean levels of serum HDL-c and Apo-A, than that of the controls. III. There is a significant positive correlation between Apo-B with LDL-c, Apo-A with HDL-c, and Apo-A/Apo-B ratio with HDL/LDL ratio. So, the serum levels Apo-A and Apo-B among Egyptians could be considered as sensitive index for identifying patients with CAD, like other lipid parameters
