ABSTRACT

Se realiza un análisis de 10 pacientes con aneurismas múltiples de la porción anterior del polígono de Willis, los cuales representan el 10 por ciento de todos los pacientes con aneurismas operados en el Servicio de Neurocirugía del Hospital Universitario «Arnaldo Milián Castro¼ de Santa Clara, Villa Clara. En 2 pacientes, los sacos aneurismáticos se localizaban bilateralmente. En un enfermo, la operación fue unilateral, mientras que en el otro, donde los aneurismas se localizaban en ambas arterias cerebrales medias, segmento M2 (aneurismas en espejo), el abordaje se realizó en 2 tiempos quirúrgicos. Todos los sacos aneurismáticos se presillaron y se reportó una mortalidad del 10 por ciento(AU)


An analysis of 10 patients with multiple aneurysms of the anterior portion of the circle of Willis that accounted for 10 percent of all patients with aneurysms operated on at the Neurosurgery Service of "Arnaldo Milián Castro" Teaching Hospital of Santa Clara, Villa Clara, was made. The aneurysmatic sacs were bilaterally located in 2 patients. In one patient, the operation was unilateral, whereas in the other one, in whom the aneurysms were located in both middle cerebral arteries, M2 segment (mirror aneurysms), the operation was performed in 2 surgical times. All the aneurysmatic sacs were stapled and a 10 percent mortality was re(AU)

Se realiza un estudio de 30 pacientes con aneurismas localizados en el complejo de la arteria cerebral anterior-arteria comunicante anterior (ACoA), operados en el Servicio de Neurocirugía del Hospital Universitario "Arnaldo Milián Castro", durante un período de 7 años. Se analizan variables tales como edad, sexo, estado neurológico preoperatorio, momento quirúrgico, complicaciones y estado al egreso. La mortalidad general fue del 10 por ciento(AU)


The authors carried out a study in 30 patients with aneurysms located in the anterior communicating artery-anterior cerebral complex (ACA-ACC), that were operated on at the Neurosurgery Service of "Arnaldo Milián Castro" Teaching Hospital, during a period of 7 years. Variables such as age, sex, preoperative neurologic state, surgical moment, complications and status on discharge were analyzed. General mortality was 10 percent(AU)
