ABSTRACT
A total of 304 women was selected for this study. The results indicated that increasing age, caffeine intake, family history of a lack of exercise, low body weight, number of pregnancies and long-term use of certain medications had a deleterious effect on the bone density. The risk prediction of osteoporotic fractures that incorporated clinical risk determinants along with BMD measurements was an important endeavor in identifying persons at risk for fractures and for whom intervention measures should be directed

This study was performed on a sample of 20 nurses to examine critical care nurses' compliance with universal precautions [UPs] by direct observation and self-reporting. The observation was followed by self- reporting of the use of UPs methods of auditing compliance with UPs. The findings indicated that the self-reported compliance scores, as obtained from the participants, were higher than the observed compliance scores and the differences were statistically significant. The nurses significantly overestimated their actions in the self- reporting of the use of UPs
