Evaluation of prototype IgA rapid test on diagnosis of early active syphilis / 中华皮肤科杂志

Objective To evaluate the application of Burnet Institute-made prototype IgA rapid test,a kind of point-of-care (POC) testing,in the diagnosis of early syphilis.Methods Totally,455 stored serum samples in the Reference Laboratory of Sexually Transmitted Disease,the Institute of Dermatology were used to evaluate the application of the prototype IgA rapid test (IgA-POC) in the diagnosis of early syphilis.According to resluts of Treponema pallidum hemagglutination assay (TPHA),rapid plasma reagin card test (RPR),and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for IgM antibodies (IgM-ELISA),these stored samples were divided into 3 groups:uninfected group,previously infected group and early active syphilis group.IgA-POC test was performed in the 3 groups to evaluate its diagnostic performance for active syphilis,and researchers were blind to the group information.Results The prototype IgA-POC test had a sensitivity of 92.6％ (147/163) for the early active syphilis group,a specificity of 72.22％ (104/144) for the previously infected group,and a specificity of 97.97％ (145/148) for the uninfected group.The total specificity of the prototype IgA-POC test was 85.27％,which met the minimum requirement of WHO for the POC test.The prototype IgA-POC test showed a significantly higher sensitivity for the diagnosis of early active syphilis compared with the IgM-ELISA (59.51％,Z =6.88,P ＜ 0.05),but a significantly lower specificity for the diagnosis of previous syphilis infection compared with the IgM-ELISA (98.61％,Z =6.18,P ＜ 0.05).Moreover,no significant difference in the specificity for the diagnosis of non-infection was observed between the prototype IgA-POC test and IgM-ELISA (Z =1.16,P =0.25).Conclusion The prototype IgA-POC test has better capacity for the diagnosis of early active syphilis compared with the IgM-ELISA,so it can be applied to the screening of early active syphilis.

Os três pontos de entrada da economia política no futebol / The three points of entry of political economy in soccer / Los tres puntos de entrada de la economía política en el fútbol

O intuito deste artigo é analisar o futebol com base nos três pontos de entrada estabelecidos por Mosco (2009) como partes que constituem um marco teórico-metodológico para estudos sobre a economia política global: mercantilização, espacialização e estruturação. A partir destas entradas, que permitem um reconhecimento da dependência dos fatores particulares do tempo-espaço e histórico-situacional em funcionamento na realidade social e, consequentemente, nas formações sociais concretas, objetiva-se aqui analisar o desenvolvimento do futebol enquanto esporte com grande recepção mundial, com a devida importância para a Indústria Cultural como uma das principais colaboradoras neste processo.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze soccer based on the three entry points established by Mosco (2009) as constituent parts of a theoretical-methodological framework for studies on the global political economy: commodification, spatialization and structuration. From these inputs, which allow a recognition of dependence on particular factors of space-time and historical and situational functioning in social reality and, consequently, in the concrete social formations, aims at analyzing the development of soccer as a sport with great reception world, with due regard to the Cultural Industry as one of the major contributors in this process.

El propósito de este trabajo es analizar el fútbol basado en los tres puntos de entrada establecidos por Mosco (2009) como partes constituyentes de un marco teórico-metodológico para el estudio de la economía política global: mercantilización, espacialización y estructuración. A partir de estas entradas, que permiten un reconocimiento de la dependencia de factores particulares del espacio-tiempo, históricos y situacionales funcionamiento en la realidad social y, en consecuencia, en las formaciones sociales concretas, tiene como objetivo analizar el desarrollo del fútbol como un deporte con gran acogida en el mundo, con el debido respeto para la industria cultural como un colaborador importante en este proceso.
