Torna tua a herança de teu pai: o Nome-do-Pai na psicanálise lacaniana / Make yours the heritage of thy father: the name-of-the-father in psychoanalysis

Este artigo percorre alguns momentos no desenvolvimento do conceito lacaniano do Nome-do-Pai. Toma como ponto de partida os escritos de Freud sobre o recalque e demonstra a importância do pensamento freudiano para a elaboração deste conceito. Três períodos deste trajeto teórico são abordados: o Nome-do-Pai como interdição simbólica ao incesto; o Nome-do-Pai pluralizado como instaurador do inconsciente estruturado como uma linguagem; finalmente, seu papel na teoria dos nós borromeanos. Para tanto, faremos uma breve passagem pela matemática transfinita, cuja lógica perpassa algumas das elaborações lacanianas. O fio condutor deste percurso será a própria possibilidade do inconsciente, seja ele tomado como o material recalcado, seja como a articulação entre os significantes.

This article studies some key moments in the development of the lacanian concept Name-of-the-Father, starting with Freud’s works about the repression, demonstrating the importance of Freud’s thinking for the development of the concept. Three periods of his trajectory are investigated: the Name-of-the-Father as the incest interdiction; the Name-of-the-Father pluralized as establisher of the unconscious structured as a language; finally, his role in the borromean knots theory. To do so, we will investigate the transfinite mathematics, whose logic pervades some of the lacanians elaborations. The orientation of this line of thought will be the possibility of unconscious itself, taken as the repressed material, or as the articulation between significants.

O desejo em questão: ética da psicanálise e desejo do analista / On desire: psychoanalysis’s ethics and the analyst’s desire

Este artigo procura estudar a aproximação teórica entre o conceito de desejo do analista, de Lacan, e a ética da psicanálise, tal como definida em seu Seminário 7, bem como as conseqüências clínicas desta aproximação. Para isso, parto da hipótese de que o desejo próprio que caracteriza a função analítica - o desejo do analista - possui implicações éticas para a direção da cura. A partir desta idéia, proponho que a formulação de Lacan para uma ética própria da psicanálise, compromissada com o desejo do sujeito em análise, é indissociável deste desejo que cabe ao analista sustentar.

This article discusses the theoretical approximation between the concepts of the analyst's desire and psychoanalysis's ethics - both define in Lacan's 7th Seminary - as well as the clinical consequences of such approximation. Our hypothesis is that the desire that constitute the analyst's function - the analyst's desire - contains ethical implications related to the cure's direction. We therefore f propose that Lacan's formulation of specific ethics for psychoanalysis is committed and truly connected to the subject desire, of which is the analyst responsibility to support.
