ABSTRACT
Sixteen patients (19 knee joints) with patellofemoral chondromalacia aged from 10 a 16 years were diagnosed and treated by arthroscopy. Clinical and radiographic elements with emphasis on the main advantages of arthroscopic technique for diagnosing and treating chondromalacia were presented. The importance of better understanding of this disease for the differential diagnosis of the knee joint pathology in adolescents is emphasized
