ABSTRACT
Bezoar é uma concreção formada de corpo estranho, originada da ingestão de diversas substâncias como cabelos, pêlos, fibras vegetais e outros, encontrada no estômago ou no intestino de diversos animais, incluso no ser humano. No presente estudo, relata-se o caso de uma jovem com bezoar gástrico recidivante e assintomática. Porém, ao exame físico, apresentou cicatriz mediana supraumbilical e tumor epigástrico à palpação profunda. Confirmou-se tricobezoar com a endoscopia digestiva alta. A paciente foi reencaminhada ao tratamento psicológico e psiquiátrico para, depois, ser novamente submetida a gastrotomia para retirada do tricobezoar. A recorrência do tricobezoar é rara, porém deve ser considerada como hipótese diagnóstica em casos de pacientes que já tiveram a enfermidade. Sendo causadores de diversos distúrbios digestivos, os bezoares adquiriram importância clínica.
Bezoar is a concretion formed by foreign body originated from the ingestion of various substances such as hair, fibers and other objects found in the stomach or intestine of various animals, including humans. In this study, the autors report the case of a young asymptomatic woman with recurrent gastric bezoar. However, the physical examinationshowed a supraumbilical median scar and deep epigastric tumor. Trichobezoar was confirmed by endoscopy. The patient was referred to psychological and psychiatric treatment and then attended to gastrotomy to remove the trichobezoar. The recurrence of trichobezoar is rare, but should be considered as a possible diagnosis in cases of patients who have had the disease. As a causative for several digestive disorders, the bezoars have gained clinical importance. The authors describe a case of recurrent gastric trichobezoar.
