ABSTRACT

Objective:To comprehensively evaluate the quality of Herba Clematidis Intricatae through HPLC multi-index components, chemometrics combined with EW-TOPSIS. Methods:A total of 18 batches of Herba Clematidis Intricatae samples from seven provinces were collected. Contents of luteolin-7-O-glucoside, rutoside, hyperoside, quercitrin, quercetin, luteolin, apigenin and kaempferol in Herba Clematidis Intricatae were simultaneously determined by HPLC. Chemometrics method was used to comprehensively analyze the content determination results, and the main potential markers affecting the quality of Herba Clematidis Intricatae were analyzed. The quality of Herba Clematidis Intricatae from different origins was evaluated. Results:The eight components showed good linear relationships within their respective ranges ( r≥0.999 1), and accuracy was good ( RSD<2.0%). The chemometrics method showed that 18 batches of Herba Clematidis Intricatae could be clustered into 3 categories, showing certain regional differences. Rutoside, hyperoside and luteolin-7-O-glucoside were the indicative components affecting the difference of chemical constituents in Herba Clematidis Intricatae; results of EW-TOPSIS method showed that the optimum quality of Herba Clematidis Intricatae from Inner Mongolia and Liaoning, followed by those of Hebei, Shanxi and Shanxi, and lowest in Qinghai and Gansu. Conclusion:The established HPLC method is convenient and accurate, and combined with chemometrics and EW-TOPSIS method can be used for the comprehensive evaluation of the quality of Herba Clematidis Intricatae.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyse clinical effects of Juming Jiangya pill combined with amlodipine besylate in treatment of essential hypertension. Methods 126 patients with essential hypertension from August 2015 to October 2016 were grouped two groups and each with 63 cases. The control group were treated with amlodipine besylate, and observation group was treated with Juming Jiangya pill. The effect of 2 groups of antihypertensive treatment, the influence on related factors and the safety were analyzed. Results (After treatment, total effective rate of observation group was 95.24%,higher than that of control group 80.95%(P<0.05).(After treatment,SBP and DBP level of observation group[were(128.5±6.3),(78.4±5.2)mmHg],lower than that of control group[(140.2±7.5),(88.7±5.5)mmHg](all P<0.05).③After treatment, plasma NO and serum ET level of observation group were[(70.16±5.51)μmol/L,(66.24±5.40)ng/L],better than that of control group[(64.16±5.33)μmol/L,(73.05±5.68)ng/L)](all P<0.05).④During treatment, proportion of adverse reactions of control group was 11.11%,higher than that of observation group 4.76%,difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion Juming Jiangya pill combined with amlodipine besylate have better curative effect and medication safety.

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to compare different preparation methods of Wei-Chang Fu-Yuan (WCFY) De-coction, which is a self-made traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction of our hospital, through the investiga-tion of difference in recovery time of gastrointestinal function after gynecological abdominal surgery. A total of 120 cases after gynecological abdominal surgery in our hospital between 2011 and 2012 were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 60 cases in each group. The hospital self-made WCFY Decoction was given to patients 8 hours after surgery in the treatment group and control group. Decoctions given to two groups were prepared with different methods. Decoction given to the treatment group was by the decoction ma-chine of multiple decoctions preparation. Decoction given to the control group was prepared as the traditional sin-gle dose decoction. The first anus flatus time was observed in both groups. The results showed that the flatus time of treatment group was 16 h and that of the control group was 13 h. The flatus time of patients from two groups was in skewed distribution, so the distance between the median and quartile was used to describe. The non-para-metric tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov method) were used in the comparison of flatus time of two groups. There was statistical significance between two groups (P < 0.05). It was concluded that different preparation methods affect the clinical efficacy of WCFY Decoction. Compared with the traditional single dose decoction, the fist flatus time was postponed 3 hours by the decoction machine of multiple decoctions preparation. Therefore, with the widely using of decoction machine of multiple decoctions preparation today, the function of decoction machine should be improved and the program should be perfected in order to increase the clinical efficacy of this preparation method.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the drug utilization for osteoarthritis in VIP clinic of our hospital. METHODS:The prescriptions of Chinese patent medicine and western medicines for osteoarthritis patients in VIP clinic in our hospital in the first half year from 2007 and 2009 were analyzed statistically by using DDDs analytical method. RESULTS:Among all the western medicines, analgesic and antiphlogistic categories were predominantly used, followed by Sodium Alendronate and Calcitonin (bone resorption inhibitors); the categories that can tonify kidney, invigorate bone, fight against rheumatism or hyperostosis took the lead among all the Chinese patent medicines. CONCLUSION:The drug utilization for osteoarthritis in VIP clinic of our hospital is rational with confirmed efficacy. The combined treatment of Chinese patent medicine and western medicine is an effective therapy worthy of further exploration.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To distinguish between the traditional science of Chinese materia medica and the pharmacognosy and discuss the developmental direction of the traditional Chinese medicine.METHODS:The differences between the traditional science of Chinese materia medica and the pharmacognosy in rationale, research contents, medical treatment principles and identification of the quality of the traditional Chinese medicine were compared to clarify that the pharmacognosy and traditional science of Chinese materia medica are completely different concepts.RESULTS:At present, the science of Chinese materia medica is constrained by the theory of pharmacognosy, and the traditional science of Chinese materia medica is tended to be gradually replaced by the western-medicine-theory-based pharmacognosy.CONCLUSION:It is necessary to reconsider and discuss the developmental direction of the traditional Chinese medicine.Modern research on Chinese medicine should follow the natural laws of the Chinese medicine itself rather than following the development mode of the western medicines.
