ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the incidence and influence factors of chronic complications of inpa-tients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and to provide reference for the comprehensive prevention and treat-ment. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted to analyze the occurrence and development of chronic complications of T2DM hospitalized patients in a third-level first-class hospital of Ningxia from January to Decem-ber in 2015.Results All of the 739 T2DM patients, the total incidence of chronic complications was 74.6%.The top five chronic diseases were large vessel disease, renal disease, retinopathy, peripheral vascular disease and neuropathy. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the duration of disease(OR = 1.004,95% CI:1.002~1.006)and occupation(taking workers as controls, farmers' OR =3.122,95% CI:1.420~6.861,unem-ployed persons' OR=2.771,95% CI:1.389~5.527)were the independent risk factors of chronic complications of T2DM.Conclusions The total incidence of chronic complications of T2DM is high.We should strengthen the com-prehensive intervention of controllable risk factors for reducing the incidence of complications, decreasing medical costs and enhancing overall quality of life of patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the influences of Xuenaoxin capsule on the levels of endothelin(ET)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)and neurological deficit extent in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:A randomized, positive drug controlled clinical trial design was used,59 cases of acute cerebral infarction with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group(30cases)and control group(29cases).The treatment group was treated with Xuenaoxin capsule,3 times a day,4 pills each time and the control group was treated with Nimodiping,3 times a day,20mg each time. Both groups had 14 days as a treatment course. The changes of levels of endothelin(ET)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)in plasma as well as neurological deficit were measured and compared. Results:The plasma ET in treatment group (57.658?14.877)pg/L were significantly lower than those in control group(70.456?17.059)pg/L,but the plasma CGRP(84.404? 8.705)ng/L was higher than that in the control group(78.402?10.699)ng/L on the 14th day.The differences were both significant (P=0.0032,P=0.0213).The results showed that the total effective rate of Xuenaoxin capsule on improving clinical symptoms of patients with acute ischemic stroke was 76.67%and very superior to that of Nimodiping(P=0.0035).Conclusion:Xuenaoxin capsule could reduce neurological deficit extent, and improve the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction by means of regulating ET and CGRP.

ABSTRACT

Objective The paper objectively analyses the Batroxobin and LMWH therapeutic effects on acute cerebral infarction. Methods 150 cases suffering from acute cere bral infarction were selected, who were hospitalized from Jan.2002 to Mar.2004.The Batroxobin group was composed of 42 cases;the LMWH group consisted of 48 cases and control group 60 case. All of the 150 cases were given drugs during 6~72 hours in hospital. The patients' neurologic functional deficiency were measured before and after the treatment. Results The patients' curative rate in Batroxobin group was significantly higher than that in LMWH group( P

ABSTRACT

PURPOSETo evaluate the effects and toxicites of combination chemotherapy of taxol, cisplatin and 5-flu-ouracil for the patients with advanced cancer. METHODS 7 cases /19 courses were administered by systematic chemotherapy, Taxol was given 150 mg-180 mg by intravenous (i. v.) infusion on day 1. cisplatin 40 mg i. v. on days 2 - 4. 5-fluouracil 750mg i. v. on days 2 - 4. 5 cases /13 courses were administered by intraperitoneal chemotherapy . Taxol was given 150-180 mg by intraperitoneal(i. p.) infusion on day 1. cisplatin 60 mg-100mg i. p. on day 1, 5-fluouracil 1000 mg i. p. on day 1. Course was repeated every four weeks. RESULTS Two patients showed complete response (16. 67%), eight patients showed partial response (66. 66%). the overall response rate was 83. 33%. The major toxic effects were myelosuppression, alopecia, arthralgra and myalgia. CONCLUSIONS Taxol, cisplatin. 5-fluouracil regimen is an effective treatment for patients with advanced cancer with acceptable side-effects.
