ABSTRACT
Este trabalho tem como finalidade refletir, a partir da relação entre corpo e movimento, o papel que a Capoeira desempenha para a conscientização do corpo como, por um lado, expressão de práticas culturais que definem o presente e apontam para o futuro e, por outro, como organismo integrado, vivo e radicalmente contrário ao modelo midiático-estético baseado na força e na musculatura. Para tanto, utilizamos como marco referencial as reflexões oriundas da filosofia e da Educação física visando, com isso, uma visão ampla do corpo e de suas relações na Capoeira.
This paper aims at reflecting, from the relation between body and movement, the role played by the Capoeira for awareness of the body as, on one hand, expression of cultural practices that define the present and point to the future and, secondly, as integrated organism, alive and radically contrary to media-aesthetic model based on the strength and musculature. Thus, we used as a reference point the reflections coming from the Philosophy and Physical Education aiming, therefore, a broad view of the body and its relations in the Capoeira.
