ABSTRACT

To clarify the content characteristics of the main active components and mineral elements of Cynomorium songaricum under different habitat conditions, and further explore the relationship between the quality of C. songaricum and habitats, this study took C. songaricum from 25 different habitats in China as the research object, and measured the contents of 8 main active components and 12 mineral elements separately. Diversity analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and cluster analysis were carried out. The results showed that the genetic diversity of total flavonoids, ursolic acid, ether extract, potassium(K), phosphorus(P) and zinc(Zn) in C. songaricum was high. The coefficient of variation of crude polysaccharide, ether extract, gallic acid, protocatechuic aldehyde, catechin, epicatechin, calcium(Ca), sodium(Na), magnesium(Mg), sulfur(S), iron(Fe), manganese(Mn), selenium(Se) and nickel(Ni) were all over 36%, indicating that the quality of C. songaricum was significantly affected by habitats. There were strong synergistic and weak antagonistic effects among the contents of the 8 active components, and complex antagonistic and synergistic effects among the contents of the 12 mineral elements. Principal component analysis revealed that crude polysaccharide, ursolic acid, catechin, epicatechin and total flavonoids could be used as the characteristic components to evaluate the quality of C. songaricum, and Na, copper(Cu), Mn and Ni were the characteristic elements to evaluate the quality of C. songaricum. In cluster ana-lysis, the second group with the main active components as cluster center had better quality in terms of the content of active substances, and the second group with the mineral elements as cluster center had higher utilization potential in the exploitation of mineral elements. This study could provide a basis for resource evaluation and breeding of excellent varieties of C. songaricum in different habitats, and provide a reference for cultivation and identification of C. songaricum.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To study the significance of dishevelled (DVL) proteins in the Wnt signaling pathway in the pathogenesis and prognosis of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).@*METHODS@#A total of 33 children with new-onset ALL were enrolled as the case group. According to the degree of risk, they were divided into 3 groups: low-risk (n=14), intermediate-risk (n=5) and high-risk (n=14). A total of 29 children with immune thrombocytopenia were enrolled as the control group. At diagnosis and on day 33 of induction therapy, 2 mL bone marrow samples were collected from the case and control groups, and qRT-PCR was used to measure the mRNA expression of DVL1, DVL2 and DVL3 in blood cells of bone marrow.@*RESULTS@#The mRNA expression of DVL1, DVL2 and DVL3 in the case group in the incipient stage was significantly higher than that in the remission stage and the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the case group had a significant increase in the mRNA expression of DVL2 in the remission stage (P<0.05). The mRNA expression of DVL2 was significantly higher than that of DVL1 and DVL3 in both remission and incipient stages (P<0.05). The high- and intermediate-risk groups had significantly higher mRNA expression of DVL1 and DVL2 than the low-risk group (P<0.05). The mRNA expression of DVL2 was significantly higher than that of DVL1 and DVL3 in the low-, intermediate- and high-risk groups (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#The change in the expression of DVL, especially DVL2, in the Wnt signal pathway has certain significance in the pathogenesis and prognosis of childhood ALL.

ABSTRACT

The content of elements in fifteen different regions of Nitraria roborowskii samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-OES), and its elemental characteristics were analyzed by principal component analysis. The results indicated that 18 mineral elements were detected in N. roborowskii of which V cannot be detected. In addition, contents of Na, K and Ca showed high concentration. Ti showed maximum content variance, while K is minimum. Four principal components were gained from the original data. The cumulative variance contribution rate is 81.542% and the variance contribution of the first principal component was 44.997%, indicating that Cr, Fe, P and Ca were the characteristic elements of N. roborowskii. Thus, the established method was simple, precise and can be used for determination of mineral elements in N.roborowskii Kom. fruits. The elemental distribution characteristics among N.roborowskii fruits are related to geographical origins which were clearly revealed by PCA. All the results will provide good basis for comprehensive utilization of N.roborowskii.

ABSTRACT

·Corneal neovascularization ( CNV) is one of the most important causes that affecting corneal transparency, and it is a high risk factor of allogeneic corneal graft rejection. lt has become a research focus for the regulation of CNV. microRNAs are a class of endogenous non-protein-coding micromolecule RNAs which play a critical role in regulating a series of life process.Researches in recent years show a close correlation between microRNA and CNV.ln this article we reviewed the recent advances in these researches.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of applying phase changing theory mode on reducing depression occurrence of pregnant women after delivery. Methods 89 cases of pregnant women suffered from pre-delivery depression were separately divided into the intervention group (45 cases) and the control group (44 cases) at random. The intervention group accepted the intervention measure of the phase changing theory mode but the control group accepted the routine instruction of the nursing. The EPDS and self-designed ordinary situation questionnaire were used to investigate the two groups. The depression pre and post-delivery and general situation post-delivery were separately compared between the two groups. Results The depression degree of the pregnant women of the intervention group was evidently reduced compared with before intervention and the contemporaneous results of the control group.Postpartum recovery, ability of attending babies and developmental condition of the babies were better in the intervention group than those of the control group. Conclusions The application of the phase changing mode in nursing of parturients can reduce the occurrence of postpartum depression,so as to help them set up a healthy living manner, supply appropriate feeding and attendance for babies and improve the living quality of them.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of extubation time of indwelling urinary catheters on postoperative recovery after cesarean section.

METHODSA total of 138 parturients undergoing elective cesarean delivery were randomized into experimental group and control group to have the urinary catheters removed at 6-8 h and 24 h after cesarean section, respectively.

RESULTSCompared with the control group, the experimental group showed significantly decreased incidences of urinary tract infection and urethral irritation (P<0.05), with also a significantly increased rate of autonomous urination and a higher degree of comfort (P<0.05) after removing the catheter.

CONCLUSIONA shortened indwelling time of urinary catheters can promote postoperative recovery after cesarean section.
