ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Currently, the industry of Dendrobium officinale has problems of uneven quality, safety hazards and blind development, so it is urgent to promote standardized production, improve the product quality and guide the industry to development orderly. METHODS: "The main branch linkage, all subject participation, all standardized production and regulation supervision" and other measures have been practiced and explored; the relevant departments strengthened the protection and exploitation of resources, established boutique park; promoted the standardization of production; vigorously, and improved industry self-regulation and industry advocacy. RESULTS: These measures effectively increased the management level of production base and the safety and quality level of raw materials, so the development foundation of Dendrobium officinale industry in Zhejiang province was tamped and ensured. The demand for high quality products by the market was met, and the development advantages of Dendrobium officinale industrial cluster in Zhejiang province were greatly boosted. CONCLUSION: It has important positive practical significance to establish and improve the production base information system, set up credit rating, implement production license policy step by step, upgrade the quality standard level, and create the public brand of "Zhejiang Dendrobium officinale" i ndustry for the protection and development of national health industry.

ABSTRACT

The standandized cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials is based on variety. With the rapid development of Dendrobium officinale industry and increasing demand of improved varieties, many studies have concentrated on the variety breeding of D. officinale and subsequently achieved remarkable success. This paper systematically expounds the research progress of D. officinale breeding, e. g. the collection and differentiated evaluation for germplasm, theory and practice for variety breeding, tissue culture and efficient production with low-carbon for germchit, and DNA molecular marker-assisted breeding, and then indicates the main problems of the current breeding of D. officinale. Furthermore, the priorities and keys for the further breeding of D. officinale have been pointed out.
