ABSTRACT
Los adolescentes que han cometido intento suicida causado por quemaduras han sido atendidos en el Servicio de Caumatología del Hospital General Docente Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso de Santiago de Cuba. El equipo multidisciplinario encargado de estos casos ha adquirido experiencia, la cual le ha permitido realizar un conjunto de acciones para lograr en estos pacientes una conducta positiva ante la vida y; por tanto, la supervivencia ante tales intentos.
Adolescents who have made suicide attempt caused by burns have been assisted in the Caumatology Service of the Teaching General Hospital Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso from Santiago de Cuba. The multidisciplinary team in charge of these cases has acquired experience, which has allowed them to carry out a group of actions to achieve in these patients a positive behavior to face life and; therefore, their survival when facing such attempts.

Child abuse is an universal problem which has many causes that involve a great variety of biological psychological and social factors. It is all type of aggression of parents, family or other people to a child to punish or to damage him. It also includes the lack of care for his basic needs of feeding, housing, dressing, health, protection and affection, reason why in this work it is commented about the topic, and the traumatic experience lived by 2 children is exposed
