ABSTRACT
Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre las variantes genéticas que afectan las respuestas a medicamentos con el objetivo de acercarse a una temática poco referenciada en el país, a partir del análisis de artículos originales y de revisión de revistas médicas de altos índices de citación, así como, tratados de la materia y listas de referencia escogidos a partir de criterios de selección establecidos por los autores. Se analizan conceptos relacionados con el origen y las principales características de los polimorfismos genéticos, los polimorfismos de interés en Farmacogenética y ejemplos de las principales variantes polimórficas implicadas en el metabolismo de los medicamentos, de las proteínas transportadoras, de dianas terapéuticas y los polimorfismos de un solo nucleótido.
A bibliographical revision was carried out on the genetic variants that affect the response to drugs with the aim of approaching a thematic a little referenced in cuba, stemming from the analysis of original articles and revision of medical magazines with a high rate of summons, as well as, treaties about this matter and chosen lists of reference from the criteria of selection established by the authors. Concepts related to the origin and the main characteristics of the genetic polymorphisms, the polymorphisms of interest in pharmacogenetics, examples of the main implied polymorphic variants in the metabolism of medicines, transporting proteins, therapeutic targets and the polymorphisms of a single nucleotide are analyzed.
