ABSTRACT
Este trabalho tem por objetivo investigar o espaço e as contribuições da educação na promoção da saúde mental dos idosos. O estudo foi realizado a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que busca identificar as ações que estão sendo desenvolvidas sobre educação permanente no Brasil, a atuação da Pedagogia na elaboração de programas educacionais e a sua representação na composição de equipes multidisciplinares para a promoção da saúde mental dos idosos.
This study aims to investigate the space and the contributions of education in the promotion of mental health of the elderly. The study was conducted from a bibliographical research that seeks to identify the actions that are being developed on continuing education in Brazil, the role of Pedagogy in the development of educational programs and its representation in the composition of multidisciplinary teams to promote the mental health of elderly.
