ABSTRACT

Objective The volume and cortical thickness of gray matter in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optica (NMO) were compared and analyzed by voxel⁃based morphometry (VBM) and surface⁃based morphometry (SBM), and the differences in the structural changes of gray matter in the two diseases were discussed. Methods A total of 21 MS patients, 16 NMO patients and 19 healthy controls were scanned by routine MRI sequence. The data were processed and analyzed by VBM and SBM method based on the statistical parameter tool SPM12 of Matlab2014a platform and the small tool CAT12 under SPM12. Results Compared with the normal control group (NC), after Gaussian random field (GRF) correction, the gray matter volume in MS group was significantly reduced in left superior occipital, left cuneus, left calcarine, left precuneus, left postcentral, left central paracentral lobule, right cuneus, left middle frontal, left superior frontal and left superior medial frontal (P<0. 05). After family wise error (FWE) correction, the thickness of left paracentral, left superiorfrontal and left precuneus cortex in MS group was significantly reduced (P<0. 05). Compared with the NC group, after GRF correction, the gray matter volume in the left postcentral, left precentral, left inferior parietal, right precentral and right middle frontal in NMO group was significantly increased (P<0. 05). In NMO group, the volume of gray matter in left middle occipital, left superior occipital, left inferior temporal, right middle occipital, left superior frontal orbital, right middle cingulum, left anterior cingulum, right angular and left precuneus were significantly decreased (P<0. 05). Brain regions showed no significant differences in cortical thickness between NMO groups after FWE correction. Compared with the NMO group, after GRF correction, the gray matter volume in the right fusiform and right middle frontal in MS group was increased significantly(P<0. 05). In MS group, the gray matter volume of left thalamus, left pallidum, left precentral, left middle frontal, left middle temporal, right pallidum, left inferior parietal and right superior parietal were significantly decreased (P<0. 05). After FWE correction, the thickness of left inferiorparietal, left superiorparietal, left supramarginal, left paracentral, left superiorfrontal and left precuneus cortex in MS group decreased significantly (P<0. 05). Conclusion The atrophy of brain gray matter structure in MS patients mainly involves the left parietal region, while NMO patients are not sensitive to the change of brain gray matter structure. The significant difference in brain gray matter volume between MS patients and NMO patients is mainly located in the deep cerebral nucleus mass.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the spontaneous neural activity in the brain of patients with Alzheimer' s disease (AD) used 3 indicators of resting state-functional magnetic resonance (rs-fMRI) amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (ALFF), fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (fALFF) and percentage amplitude fluctuation (PerAF). Methods Totally 36 clinically diagnosed AD patients and 40 healthy volunteers were scanned by fMRI in resting state respectively. ALFF, fALFF and PerAF were used to calculate and compare the changes of brain regions between the two groups. Results Compared with the normal control group, mALFF value in AD group increased significantly in bilateral caudate nucleus, medial frontal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, gyrus rectus, anterior cingulate gyrus, olfactive cortex, left middle frontal gyrus and inferior frontal gyrus (P<0. 05). mALFF values decreased significantly in the right middle temporal gyrus, inferior temporal gyrus, inferior occipital gyrus, middle occipital gyrus, bilateral calcarine, cuneus, lingual gyrus, superior occipital gyrus, vermis, precuneus and other regions (P<0. 05). In AD group, mfALFF value of right inferior temporal gyrus, anterior cerebellar lobe, fusiform gyrus, left superior frontal gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, gyrus rectus and anterior cingulate gyrus increased significantly (P<0. 05); mfALFF values decreased significantly in bilateral lingual gyrus, left calcarine, cuneus, superior occipital gyrus, middle occipital gyrus and vermis (P<0. 05). In AD group, mPerAF value increased significantly in bilateral gyrus rectus, anterior cingulate gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, left superior frontal gyrus, caudate nucleus, middle frontal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, olfactive cortex and insula (P<0. 05); mPerAF values decreased significantly in bilateral calcarine, cuneus, superior occipital gyrus, lingual gyrus, precuneus, left fusiform gyrus, inferior occipital gyrus, right superior parietal lobule, angular gyrus, middle temporal gyrus, inferior temporal gyrus and middle occipital gyrus (P < 0. 05). Conclusion The default mode network (DMN) and visual network of AD patients are characterized by abnormal brain activity, with the most significant neural activity in the prefrontal cortex and visual cortex.

ABSTRACT

[Abstract] ObjectVisualizing the superficial cerebellar vein and its tributaries on suscepxibility weighted imaging (SWI), and to construct superficial cerebellar vein network. Methods According to the inclusion criteria, 80 healthy volunteers (40 males and 40 females) were selected for 3. 0 T MRI scans to obtain conventional sequence cross-section, sagittal tomographic images, and SWI image data. Post-processing was performed on the Extended MR workspace 2. 6. 3. 4 image workstation to reconstruct minimum intensity projection(mIP) images. SPSS 21. 0 statistical software was used to analyze and process each data, and the diameter measurement result were expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Results Both SWI and mIP could image the structures of the cerebellum and its veins. The cerebellar veins were divided into deep and superficial parts. The superficial cerebellar veins were divided into two groups: the vermis and the cerebellar hemispheres. The superficial vein of the cerebellar vermis consisted of superior vermis vein [diameter: (1. 21±0. 24)mm, occurrence rate: 92. 16%], summit vein [ diameter: (0. 66 ± 0. 05) mm, occurrence rate: 95%], mountain vein [diameter: (0. 76±0. 03)mm, occurrence rate: 100%], inferior vermis vein [diameter: (1. 40±0. 27)mm, occurrence rate: 99. 02%]. The superficial cerebellar hemisphere vein consists of anterior superior cerebellar vein [diameter: (1. 09± 0. 12)mm, occurrence rate: 100%], posterior superior cerebellar vein [diameter: (0. 88±0. 13) mm, occurrence rate: 70%], anterior inferior cerebellar vein [ diameter: (1. 34 ± 0. 15) mm, occurrence rate: 100%], posterior inferior cerebellar vein [ diameter: (1. 11 ± 0. 09) mm, occurrence rate: 92. 5%]. The deep veins were divided into cerebellomesencephalic fissure group, cerebellopontine fissure group, and cerebellomedullary fissure group. Conclusion SWI can display the microstructure and venules of the cerebellum, and can construct a network of superficial cerebellar veins.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate whether physiological asymmetry of normal bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres is existed on susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI). Methods There were 45 healthy young volunteers in this study. After exclusion of intracranial lesions by using common brain magnetic resonance imaging examination, they underwent SWI examination. We observed the number, diameter and signal intensity of superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres according to the images of SWI on transverse sections through the centrum semiovale, trunk of corpus callosum, splenium of corpus callosum, and superior colliculus. Results The frequencies of asymmetry of the bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres on transverse sections through the centrum semiovale, trunk of corpus callosum, splenium of corpus callosum, and superior colliculus were 20.0%, 37.8%, 35.6% and 26.7%, respectively. The frequencies of mild asymmetry of the bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres on above transverse sections were 17.8%, 31.1%, 31.1% and 24.4% respectively, and the frequencies of prominent asymmetry were 2.2%, 6.7%, 4.4% and 2.2%, respectively. According to chi square test, there was no gender difference in asymmetry of the bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres. Conclusion SWI technique was used to show the physiological asymmetry of the bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres on different transverse sections. Most of them are mild. Therefore, when cerebrovascular disease occurs, if transverse sections of images by SWI show asymmetry of the bilateral superficial veins located in dorsolateral aspects of hemispheres, the possibility of physiological phenomenon is needed to take into consideration.

ABSTRACT

Objective To image the veins around the foramen of monro (FM), to build the 3D model of them, to construct venous network in this area and to explore the spatial positional correlation between FM and veins around it. Methods Totally 60 healthy subjects were selected to get the original images on 3. 0 T MR and procesed the original images by minimum intensity projections (mIP) and Materialise’ s interactive medical image control system (Mimics), built the 3D model of the veins around FM, observed and analyzed the morphology of FM and the veins around it on original and processed images. Results The displaying rate of FM was 65% (78 sides), the displaying rate of internal cerebellar veins (ICV) was 100% (120 sides), the diameter was (2. 13±0. 30) mm. The displaying rate of anterior septal vein (ASV) was 100% (120 sides), the diameter was(0. 69±0. 19)mm. The displaying rate of superior thalamostriate vein (STV) was 98. 3% (118 sides), the diameter was (1. 47± 0. 38) mm. The displaying rate of superior choroidal vein (SCV) was 82. 5% (99 sides), the diameter was(0. 40±0. 18)mm. According to the relationship between the converging point of the tributaries of ICV and the location of FM, FMs were classified into 5 types:ⅠA, 24. 2% (29 sides), ASV converged into ICV at the venous angle and closed to the posterior edge of FM; ⅠB, 13. 3% (16 sides), ASV converged into ICV away from the venous angle and the posterior edge of FM; ⅡA, 45% (54 sides), ASV converged into ICV at the false venous angle and closed to the posterior edge of FM; ⅡB, 15. 8% (19 sides), ASV converged into ICV away form the false venous angle and the posterior edge of FM. Ⅲ, 1. 7% (2 sides), STV was absent. Conclusion FM and the veins around it are visible on the susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI). It can be constructed by Mimics that the 3D model of ICV, its tributaries, FM and the converging points of the major veins. The classification of FMs is meaningful to the option of surgical approaches through FM.

@#[摘 要] 目的:探讨lncRNA ZNF674-AS1在宫颈癌中的作用及其分子机制。方法:用qPCR法检测ZNF674-AS1在31例2019年1月至2020年7月在武汉儿童医院接受手术治疗患者的宫颈癌组织和对应的癌旁组织、宫颈癌细胞系(SiHa、HeLa、C33A和HCC94)和永生化子宫颈上皮细胞系中的表达。转染过表达ZNF674-AS1质粒及其阴性对照质粒至ZNF674-AS1表达最少的HCC94细胞,CCK-8法和Transwell实验检测过表达ZNF674-AS1对HCC94细胞增殖活性和迁移能力的影响。生物信息学方法预测和双荧光素酶报告基因实验验证ZNF674-AS1和miR-510-5p、REPS2三者间的互补结合关系。qPCR检测过表达ZNF674-AS1对miR-510-5p与REPS2表达的影响,WB法检测过表达ZNF674-AS对细胞增殖和迁移相关因子表达的影响。结果:与癌旁组织相比,ZNF674-AS1在宫颈癌组织中呈明显低表达(P<0.01);与永生化子宫上皮细胞相比,ZNF674-AS1在宫颈癌细胞系中也呈明显低表达(P<0.05或P<0.01),以HCC94细胞中表达最低(P<0.01)。过表达ZNF674-AS1能明显抑制HCC94细胞的增殖(P<0.05)和迁移(P<0.01)。与ZNF674-AS1相互作用的miRNA是miR-510-5p,与miR-510-5p相互作用的基因是REPS2。过表达ZNF674-AS1导致HCC94细胞中miR-510-5p的表达水平降低(P<0.01)而REPS2基因的表达水平升高(P<0.01),同时引起细胞增殖和迁移相关的多种因子(CDK2、cyclin D3、vimentin和twist)上调或下调。结论:lncRNA ZNF674-AS1在宫颈癌组织和细胞中呈低表达,可能通过竞争性结合miR-510-5p而上调REPS2的表达,从而抑制宫颈癌HCC94细胞的增殖和迁移。

ABSTRACT

Background@#Ultrasound-guided minimally invasive procedures are widely used to treat thyroid diseases. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of ethanol ablation (EA) in comparison with other non-surgical options in the treatment of benign thyroid cystic nodules. @*Methods@#We conducted a systematic search of studies on EA for thyroid cystic nodules, mainly in the Ovid-MEDLINE and Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases. The standardized mean difference (SMD) of the volume reduction ratio (VRR) after EA versus other non-surgical treatments comprised the primary outcome, whereas the odds ratio (OR) of therapeutic success rates between the two groups comprised the secondary outcome. @*Results@#The meta-analysis included 19 studies (four randomized controlled trials and 15 non-randomized studies) with 1,514 participants. The cumulative VRR of EA was 83.908% (95% confidence interval [CI], 79.358% to 88.457%). EA had a significantly higher pooled VRR (SMD, 0.381; 95% CI, 0.028 to 0.734; P=0.030), but not a significantly higher pooled therapeutic success rate (OR, 0.867; 95% CI, 0.132 to 5.689; P=0.880), than other forms of non-surgical management including radiofrequency ablation (RFA), polidocanol sclerotherapy, and simple aspiration with or without saline flush. However, the VRR and therapeutic success rate were not significantly different between EA and RFA. Major complications were recorded only in six patients (0.53%) with self-limiting dysphonia. @*Conclusion@#The role of EA as the first-line treatment for benign thyroid cysts and predominantly cystic nodules is supported by its high effectiveness and good safety profile compared to other currently available non-surgical options.

ABSTRACT

Objective Make use of image dentate nucleus and the veins around it on susceptibility weighted images (SWI), explore the correlation between the location of hilum of dentate nucleus and the venous variation of dentate nucleus. Methods Selecting 51 healthy adults (24 men, 27 women) at the age between 18 and 30 years old to get the original images on 3. 0T MR. Process the original images by minimum intensity projections (mIP) observed and analyzed the morphology of dentate nucleus and veins around it on original and processed images. Results The length of dentate nucleus was (16. 64±0. 20)mm, and the width was (8. 36±0. 14)mm. There was no significant difference between bilateral dentate nucleus. The median angle of the long axis of the dentate nucleus was 26. 80° (interquartile distance was 34. 58°). The venous network of dentate nucleus was formed in 2 groups of veins: the lateral group, drained by the vein of the horizontal fissure and nuclear vein; the medial group, drained by vermian vein and central vein of dentate nucleus. These two groups had been further typing as follows: the lateral anterior group drained by the nuclear vein, finally opening to superior petrosal sinus; the lateral median group had plenty of small veins of lateral dentate nucleus converge into the vein of the horizontal fissure; the lateral posterior group drained by a lot of very small veins converging to vermian veins or medullary veins; the medial anterior group that the central vein of dentate nucleus and the paravermian vein were jointed at hilum of dentate nucleus, opening into straight sinus; the medial posterior group usually converged into tributaries of vermian vein, or converged with paravermian vein into tributaries of vermian vein. Totally 75. 49% of hilums of dentate nucleus were located at upper inner quadrant, the other 24. 51% of them were located at lower inner quadrant. Conclusion Dentate nucleus and its veins are clearly visible on the susceptibility weighted images, and the location of the hilum of dentate nucleus may be related to the abouchement of paravermian vein.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the effect of proximal humerus internal locking system (PHILOS) plate in the treatment of Neer 2 and 3 part fractures of proximal humerus through tuberosity approach.@*METHODS@#From July 2015 to January 2018, 15 cases of proximal humerus Neer 2 and 3 fractures were treated with PHILOS plate through intertubercular sulcus approach. There were 7 males and 8 females. The age ranged from 23 to 67 years old, with an average of 46 years old. There were 5 cases on the left side and 10 cases on the right side (including 7 cases of Neer 2 partial fracture and 8 cases of Neer 3 partial fracture). X-ray films and CT were taken before and after operation to assess fracture location and fracture healing. Clinical evaluation included Constant-Murley shoulder function score and operative complications. All 15 patients were treated with the PHILOS. Constant-Murley score was used to evaluate shoulder function after operation.@*RESULTS@#All the 15 cases were followed up, and the duration ranged from 14 to 36 months. All the fractures healed and the healing time ranged from 14 to 26 weeks, averaged 19.1 weeks. There were no complications such as humeral head necrosis, axillary nerve injury and fracture nonunion after operation. At the 3rd month after operation, the shoulder function score of Constant-Murley ranged from 72 to 94 points, with an average of 81 points; 2 cases got an excellent result and 13 good.@*CONCLUSIONS@#The PHILOS plate for the treatment of proximal humerus fractures has the advantages of simple operation, small injury and quick recovery of shoulder joint function.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Infliximab has proven to be effective in the treatment of perianal fistulas in Crohn's disease (CD) but the efficacy of adalimumab is still unclear. The aim of this study is to assess the clinical efficacy of adalimumab and compare the results with those for infliximab. METHODS: Forty-seven CD patients treated for perianal fistulas with infliximab from September 2005 to December 2010 (n=31), or with adalimumab from November 2010 to May 2012 (n=16), were enrolled in this retrospective study. The following patient characteristics were analyzed; intestinal lesion site, fistula classification, seton placement, index of inflammatory bowel disease, C-reactive protein level, follow-up period, and the cumulative rate of nonrecurrence or aggravation of fistula. RESULTS: There were no significant differences in the intestinal lesion site, fistula classification, inflammatory bowel disease index, C-reactive protein level, and the frequency of injection between the infliximab group and the adalimumab group. The cumulative rate of nonrecurrence or aggravation of fistula was 62.5% in the adalimumab group and 83.9% in the infliximab group at 24 months after treatment (P=0.09). The risk factors for recurrence or aggravation may be related to seton placement (P=0.02), gender (P=0.06), and fistula classification (P=0.07). CONCLUSIONS: There was no significant difference in the clinical efficacy of adalimumab and infliximab in the treatment of perianal fistulas in CD. However, fistula classification may be an important risk factor for recurrence or aggravation. The preliminary findings in this study show that further research is warranted.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the presence of trichomoniasis among women attending the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre. Methods A total of 139 high vaginal swabs were taken from the subjects and sent to the laboratory in Amies gel transport media. The specimens were examined for the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis using wet mount, Giemsa staining and cultured in Diamond's medium. Sociodemographic characteristics and gynaecological complaints were obtained in private using structured questionnaire applied by one investigator. Results The median age was 32 years, with an interquartile interval of 9.96. Most of the subjects were Malays (76.9%) and the remaining were Chinese (15.1%), Indians (2.2%) and other ethnic groups (5.8%). One hundred and thirty eight (99.3%) of the women were married and 98.6% had less than 6 children. More than half (75.5%) of the women's last child birth was less than 6 years ago. Forty seven percent of them were involved in supporting administrative work and 64.7% of the women gave a history of previous or current vaginal discharge. Conclusions The present study reported zero incidence rate of trichomoniasis. The low incidence rate was postulated due to all women who participated in this study were categorized into a low-risk group.

ABSTRACT

This article describes the methodology of this bibliography. A search was conducted on the following: (1) bibliographic databases (PubMed, Scopus, and other databases) using search terms that maximize the retrieval of Malaysian publications; (2) Individual journal search of Malaysian healthrelated journals; (3) A targeted search of Google and Google Scholar; (4) Searching of Malaysian institutional repositories; (5) Searching of Ministry of Health and Clinical Research Centre website. The publication years were limited to 2000- 2013. The citations were imported or manually entered into bibliographic software Refworks. After removing duplicates, and correcting data entry errors, PubMed’s Medical Subject Headings (MeSH terms) were added. Clinical research is coded using the definition “patient-oriented-research or research conducted with human subjects (or on material of human origin) for which the investigator directly interacts with the human subjects at some point during the study.” A bibliography of citations [n=2056] that fit the criteria of clinical research in Malaysia in selected topics within five domains was generated: Cancers [589], Cardiovascular diseases [432], Infections [795], Injuries [142], and Mental Health [582]. This is done by retrieving citations with the appropriate MESH terms, as follow: For cancers (Breast Neoplasms; Colorectal Neoplasms; Uterine Cervical Neoplasms), for cardiovascular diseases (Coronary Disease; Hypertension; Stroke), for infections (Dengue; Enterovirus Infections, HIV Infections; Malaria; Nipah Virus; Tuberculosis), for injuries (Accidents, Occupational; Accidents, Traffic; Child Abuse; Occupational Injuries), for mental health (Depression; Depressive Disorder; Depressive Disorder, Major; Drug Users; Psychotic Disorders; Suicide; Suicide, Attempted; Suicidal Ideation; SubstanceRelated Disorders).

ABSTRACT

This study is to investigate the protective effects of the SB203580 against radiation induced mortality and intestinal injury of mice. A total of 67 male C57BL/6 mice (20.0-22.0 g) were matched according to body weight and randomly assigned to one of three groups: control, total body irradiation exposure (IR, 7.2 Gy) only, and IR (7.2 Gy) + SB203580 (15 mg x kg(-1)). 30 days survival rate was observed in the experiment. In intestinal injury experiment, the expression levels of caspase-3, Ki67, p53 and p-p38 were assayed in the mice intestine crypts. The results showed that the 30 days survival rate was 100% (control), 0 (IR) and 40% (IR+ SB203580), separately. Compared to the IR groups, the positive cells of caspase-3, p53 and p-p38 in crypt cells decreased 33.00%, 21.78% and 34.63%, respectively. The rate of positive cells of Ki67 increased 37.96%. Significant difference was found between all of them (P < 0.01). SB203580 potently protected against radiation-induced lethal and intestinal injury in mice, and it may be a potential radio protector.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>BACKGROUND</b>Cellular cardiomyoplasty by transplantation of various cell types has been investigated as potential treatments for the improvement of cardiac function after myocardial injury. A major barrier for the clinical application of cell transplantation is obtaining sufficiently large quantities of suitable cells. Allogeneic cellular cardiomyoplasty may provide an alternative source of abundant, transplantable, myogenic cells by in vitro manipulation of cardiac fibroblasts using chemicals including 5-azacytidine. This study evaluated cardiomyogenic differentiation of cardiac fibroblasts, their survival in myocardial scar tissue, and the effect of the implanted cells on heart function.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Primary cardiac fibroblasts from neonatal rats were treated with 5-azacytidine (10 µmol/L) or control. Treatment of 5-azacytidine caused myogenic differentiation of cultured cardiac fibroblasts, as defined by elongation and fusion into multinucleated myotubes with sarcomeric structures as identified by electron microscopy, and positive immunostaining for cardiac specific proteins, troponin I and β-myosin heavy chain (β-MHC) and the gap junction protein connexin 43. The myogenic cells (1.0 × 10⁶) were transplanted into the infarcted myocardium 2 weeks after coronary artery occlusion.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>By 1 month after transplantation, the converted fibroblasts gave rise to a cluster of cardiac-like muscle cells that in the hearts occupied a large part of the scar with positive immunostaining for the myogenic proteins troponin I and β-MHC. Engrafted cells also expressed the gap junction protein connexin 43 in a disorganized manner. There was no positive staining in the control hearts treated with injections of culture medium. Heart function was evaluated at 6 weeks after myocardial injury with echocardiographic and hemodynamic measurements. Improvement in cardiac function was seen in the hearts transplanted with the 5-azacytidine-treated cardiac fibroblasts which was absent in the hearts treated with control.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The 5-azacytidine has a unique capacity to induce myogenesis in cardiac fibroblasts in vitro and transplantation of cardiac-like muscle cells into ventricular scar tissue improves myocardial function.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To extract and analysis the active components of Se-protein polysaccharide from Se-rich Cordyceps militaris, and to discuss the anti-tumor effect of Se-protein polysaccharide.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>Protein, polysaccharides and selenium content were determined by the methods of Folin-phenol reagent (lowry), phenol-sulfate and DAN fluorescence, respectively. Tumor-bearing mouse model was established and divided into the model group, cyclophosphamide group, cordyceps high and low dosage group (200, 100 mg x kg(-1)). Then the Se-protein polysaccharide's anti-tumor activity and immune function in vivo were observed by compare with model group in the weight of mice, inhibitory rate, conversion rate of peripheral blood lymphocytes, dissection index K, swallowed factor alpha, liver and spleen factor coefficient, GSH-Px and SOD activity and the content of MDA.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>Se-protein polysaccharides from Se-rich Cordyceps militaris had a significant anti-tumor action with the inhibitory rate 46.92% and could avoid toxic effect of chemotherapy drug like cyclophosphamide. It also could enhance immune function and body antioxidant capacity by inhibiting the decline of tumor-bearing mouse liver coefficient and spleen coefficient in tumor-bearing mice caused by cyclophosphamide.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Se-protein polysaccharide, the extraction of Se-rich Cordyceps militaris's can inhibit tumor grouth of tumor-bearing mouse.</p>
