ABSTRACT

A insuficiência renal crônica (IRC) trata-se de processo degenerativo, provocado por variedade de nefropatias, de significativo impacto social por constituir-se problema de saúde pública de grande magnitude. O portador de IRC convive com doença incurável que o obriga a se submeter a tratamento doloroso, que modifica toda a sua estrutura social, familiar e psicológica. Este trabalho objetiva compreender o significado de ser portador de IRC, utilizando para isto entrevistas com pacientes em tratamento hemodialítico em hospital filantrópico do interior de Minas Gerais. Os discursos obtidos foram categorizados e analisados de forma a melhor expressar as questões em estudo. Os pacientes mostraram sofrer com as mudanças impostas, entretanto, com o passar do tempo, aprendem a aceitá-las e a conviver com as mesmas, o que só é possível com o auxílio da família e da equipe de saúde, principalmente a equipe de enfermagem. É de suma importância, portanto, a participação de todos os envolvidos no processo de terapia renal substitutiva, pois juntos tornarão a vida do doente renal crônico de mais fácil enfrentamento e compreensão.(AU)


The Chronic Renal insufficiency - IRC is a degenerative disease, provoked by disease of the kidney variety, being a condition of enormous social impact that constitutes in problem of public health of great magnitude. The person bearer of IRC lives together with the fact of possessing an incurable disease, that forces to submit her to a painful treatment that modifies all your structure social, family, psychological. Like this, it was had as objective understands the meaning of being a bearer of IRC, using for that interviews accomplished with patients in treatment hemodialysis in a philanthropic hospital inside Minas Gerais. The obtained speeches were classified and analyzed in a better way to express the subjects in study. The patients showed to suffer with the imposed changes, however, in the course of time, they learn her you accept them and to live together with the same ones, what is only possible with the aid of the family and of the team of health, mainly the nursing team. Therefore it is of highest importance the participation of all involved them in this process of therapy renal substitute, because together they will do of the life of the chronic renal patient, a life of easy to face and understanding.(AU)
