ABSTRACT
Se llevó a cabo una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva sobre desprendimiento de retina, con vistas a ofrecer información actualizada acerca de los principales elementos causales y su fisiopatología, relacionada directamente con su anatomía y citoarquitectura. Igualmente se abordan aspectos clínicos de esta afección y sus factores de riesgo, todo lo cual puede ser consultado por estudiantes y profesionales de la medicina, en aras de realizar acciones de prevención, un diagnóstico oportuno y tratamiento adecuado a los pacientes, de manera tal que se puedan evitar complicaciones.
An exhaustive literature survey on retinal detachment was carried out, with the aim of offering updated information on the main causal elements and its pathophysiology, related directly with ist anatomy and cytoarchitecture. Likewise, clinical aspects of this disorder and its risk factors are dealt, all of which can be consulted by students and professionals of medicine, for carrying out prevention actions of, an opportune diagnosis and adequate treatment to the patients, in such way that complications can be avoided.

Se realizó un estudio experimental, con vistas a medir la efectividad del laminario histológico interactivo de Morfofisiología II, en 32 estudiantes de primer año de la carrera de medicina, pertenecientes al Policlínico Docente "José Martí Pérez" de Santiago de Cuba, durante el primer trimestre del 2012. La muestra se dividió en 2 grupos (A y B), distribuidos aleatoriamente; los integrantes del primero usaron la bibliografía básica para el estudio de la asignatura, y los del segundo emplearon además, el laminario antes citado. Se concluyó que dicho software fue efectivo, puesto que los estudiantes del grupo B obtuvieron mejores calificaciones que los del A.
An experimental study was carried out, with the aim of measuring the effectiveness of the Morphophysiology II interactive histological laminario, in 32 first year students of the medicine career, belonging to "José Martí Pérez" Teaching Polyclinic from Santiago de Cuba, during the first trimester of 2012. The sample was divided into 2 randomly distributed groups (A and B). The member of the first group used the basic literature for studying the subject, and those of the second group used besides the literature, the above mentioned laminario. It was concluded that the software was effective, since the students of group B obtained better qualifications that those of group A.

Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal de 40 estudiantes de segundo y tercer años de medicina pertenecientes al Policlínico Docente "Carlos Juan Finlay" de Santiago de Cuba, desde enero hasta marzo de 2010, con vistas a caracterizar la conducta sexual de dichas féminas. Entre las variables analizadas figuraron: edad de comienzo de las relaciones sexuales, motivación para estas, estabilidad de la pareja y uso del preservativo en la primera relación sexual. La información obtenida fue procesada a través de métodos computarizados y se utilizó el porcentaje como medida de resumen, de lo cual resultó que la mayoría de las encuestadas comenzaron sus relaciones sexuales entre los 14 y 15 años, sin pareja estable y desprotegidas, motivadas porque todas las amigas ya lo habían hecho.
An observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out in 40 medical students of second and third years, belonging to "Carlos Juan Finlay" Teaching Polyclinic of Santiago de Cuba, from January to March 2010, with the purpose of characterizing the sexual behavior of these women. Among the analyzed variates were age at onset of sex, motivation for this, couple stability and use of the condom in the first intercourse. The information obtained was processed through computerized methods and the percentage was used as summary measure, from which resulted that most of respondents began their sexual relations between 14 and 15 years, without a regular partner and with unprotected sex, motivated because all their friends had already sex.
