ABSTRACT
Nos ultimos anos, tem-se experimentado um rápido envelhecimento das populações, colocando os idosos como grupo etário emergente. Junto a essas transformações, vê-se a proliferação das tecnologias de comunicação e de informação. Isto tem despertado um grande interesse entre os idosos quanto ao aprendizado da informática, considerando os benefícios que ela pode oferecer às suas vidas. A presente revisão aborda a inclusão do idoso na informática e o impacto que ela traz a sua vida.
Lately, populations have been facing a quick aging process, and the elderly have been identified as growing group. In addition to these transformations, it is possible to observe a proliferation of both information and communication technologies. The elderly have become increasingly interested in learning how to deal with these new technologies, considering the benefits they can offer to their lives. The present review approaches the relationship between the elderly and the computer, and the impact that it can bring to their lives.
