Simulación educativa: Herramienta didáctica para educación Ciencia Tecnología y Sociedad en la disciplina Filosofía y Sociedad / Educational simulation: teaching tool for Science, Technology and Society Education in the discipline of Philosophy and Society

El perfeccionamiento de la disciplina Filosofía y Sociedad en la Educación Superior es una de la exigencias en los Lineamientos al VI Congreso del Partido Comunista de Cuba lo cual contribuye a la preparación de un profesional a la altura de los cambios científico tecnológicos que actualmente despliega la Educación Médica Superior cubana. Para el logro de este propósito se aplicó la simulación educativa como herramienta didáctica avanzada en temas de Ciencia Tecnología y Sociedad en la disciplina Filosofía y Sociedad, la que permitió a los educandos desarrollar habilidades investigativas, un pensamiento científico, político, económico y social así como elevar su nivel creativo y productivo.

Development of the discipline of Philosophy and Society in Higher Education is one of the requirements in the guidelines to the 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba which contributes to the preparation of a professional at the height of the scientific-technological changes that Cuban Higher Medical Education currently deploys. For the achievement of this purpose the educational simulation was applied as a teaching tool advanced in terms of science, technology and society in the discipline of Philosophy and Society, which helped the students to develop research skills, scientific, political, economic and social thinking as well as raise their creative and productive level.

José Martí en la formación ético-humanista del futuro profesional de la Salud / José Martí within the ethical-humanistic formation of future health care professionals

Este trabajo tiene el objetivo de elevar la contribución de la asignatura Filosofía y Salud a la formación ético-humanista de los estudiantes de Medicina, tomando como paradigma el legado de José Martí. El estudio recoge el tratamiento conceptual acerca de la ética, la ética médica, la moral, y el humanismo como concepción filosófica, así como vías para insertar creativamente el pensamiento humanista martiano en la asignatura, utilizando pasajes, testimonios y citas de sus obras. Más adelante, se concretan actividades para conseguirlo. Se concluye generalizando que el hombre nuevo, que se quiere forjar en las universidades, no estaría completo sin el conocimiento de la vida y obra martiana y la aplicación creadora de su pensamiento humanista en las nuevas circunstancias históricas.

The article aims to increase the contribution of the subject Philosophy and Health to the ethical-humanistic formation of medical students, taking into account José Martí’s legacy as paradigm. It conceptually analyzes ethics, medical ethics, moral, and humanism as a philosophical concept, as well as dealing with different approaches to creatively include Martí’s humanistic thought in the subject, by means of passages, testimonies, and quotations. After that, a set of activities is suggested. As conclusions, it states that the new man to be educated at the university fails to be complete if he has a deficient knowledge about Martí’s life and work, and an inadequate application of his humanistic thought in the present historical circumstances.
