ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo analyze the suicidal behavior in hospitalized patients with major depression and its influencing factors. MethodsA total of 1 000 patients with major depression admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to July 2021 were selected as the research subjects to investigate the status quo of suicidal behavior of the enrolled patients. According to the survey results, the patients were divided into suicidal behavior group and non-suicidal behavior group, and the related factors affecting their suicidal behavior. ResultsA total of 511 cases (51.10%) of the patients with major depression committed suicide in hospital, including 271 cases (27.10%) of suicidal ideation, 186 cases (18.60%) of attempted suicide, and 54 cases (5.40%) of suicide death. 489 patients (48.90%) did not commit suicide. Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in age, gender, marital status, loss of interest or pleasure, anxiety, sense of worthlessness or self-guilt, sleep status, personality, depressive episodes and paranoia between the suicidal behavior group and the non-suicidal behavior group (all P<0.05). Logistic multifactorial regression analysis showed that age ≤28 years (OR=1.54), female (OR=1.93), anxiety (OR=1.61), sense of worthlessness or self-guilt (OR=1.85) and paranoia (OR=2.15) were all independent predictors of suicidal behavior in the patients with major depression. ConclusionThe incidence of nosocomial suicide in patients with major depression is high. Early onset age, female, anxiety, sense of worthlessness or self-guilt, more depressive episodes and paranoia are independent risk predictors of suicide in patients with major depression. This finding can be used for clinical intervention to reduce the occurrence of suicide in patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the safety and the feasibility of hypophysin injection for hemostasis during laparoscopic stripping of ovarian endometrioma. Methods Retrospective analysis of 86 cases with ovarian endometrionm.Forty-two patients with prophylactic dilute hypophysin injection into cornua uterus and mesosalpinx(study group),and 44 patients without vasopressin(control group). The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, the highest postoperative temperature, postoperative stay and the rate of recurrence were compared. Results The operative time in the study group and the control group were(51.24±22.58)min and(67.02±25.14)min,the intraoperative blood loss were(42.16±26.10)ml and (68.23±28.21)ml,respectively.There was significantly different between two groups(P<0.01).The rates of recurrence in the study group and the control group were 4.76% and 11.36%,respectively.But it was no significantly different between two groups(P>0.05).Both the highest postoperative temperature and postoperative stay was no difference between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Hypophysin can reduce the operative time and intraoperative blood loss during laparoscopic stripping of ovarian endometrioma, and it is possible to reduce the rate of recurrence. It is a safe, feasible, cheapand convenient method, and worth using in clinic.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the influence of environment oxygen supplement and passive smoking on the blood gas indexes in rabbits. Methods Eighty adult Newzealand white rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups,20 in each. The oxygen supplement and passive smoking group was exposed to cigarette smoke produced by 25 burning cigarettes, four hours per time, consecutively for twenty-four hours, simultaneously exposed to oxygen produced by two oxygen generators(600-1 000 ml/min per generator). The oxygen supplement group was exposed to oxygen produced by two oxygen generators(600-1 000 ml/min per generator) consecutively for twenty-four hours. The passive smoking group was exposed to cigarette smoke produced by 25 burning cigarettes, four huors per time, consecutively for twenty-four hours. The control group was exposed to general feeding environment. The analysis of variance of factorial design(2?2) was conducted, five blood gas indexes were measured. Results Under the condition of surroundings oxygen increasing, the partial pressure of blood oxygen was improved significantly(P0.05).No evident interaction was found between surroundings oxygen increasing and passive smoking. Conclusion Oxygen metabolism can be improved by environment oxygen supplement in rabbits, and the effect of passive smoking on the investigated five blood gas indexes is not considered significant.
