ABSTRACT

Objective: To study the current status, hotspots and frontiers in the field of occupational health and safety (OHS) research among medical staff. Methods: A comprehensive search on OHS of domestic and international literature on medical staff was conducted using the China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Web of Science databases from 2002 to 2022. The collected literature was subjected to bibliometric analysis and visualized using CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software. Results: A total of 5 858 articles related to medical personnel OHS comprising 2 144 Chinese articles and 3 714 English articles, were included. The publication of Chinese articles showed an initial increase followed by a decline, while English articles exhibited a sustained increase followed by a sudden decline. Domestic research mainly focused on hospitals and academic institutions, with few collaboration between institutions and regions in China. Research abroad demonstrated strong collaboration and exchange between countries and institutions. The OHS related research hotspots were occupational exposure, occupational health, and occupational safety of medical personnel at home and abroad. The key department of interest was operating rooms, and the key group personnel was nurses. Advanced research in foreign countries has extended to fields such as personal protective equipment and medical personnel sleep issues. Conclusion: There is still a gap on OHS research among medical staff between China and foreign countries. Domestic scholars need to grasp the academic frontiers, strengthen collaboration and exchange among domestic institutions, regions, and international counterparts, enlarge the research scope and content to ensure the OHS of medical personnel.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of clinical nursing pathway(CNP) on clinical nursing of patients with pneumoconiosis. METHODS: A total of 120 patients with pneumoconiosis were selected as the subjects by the judgment sampling method. The patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given routine treatment and nursing after admission, while the patients in the observation group were treated similarly to that of the control group plus CNP. The treatment of patients in both groups were carried out until they were discharged from hospital. General Self-Efficacy Scale, Medical Coping Style Questionnaire and Quality of Life Scale were used to measure the self-efficacy, coping style and of quality of life of these two groups before and after the implementation of CNP. RESULTS: Before the implementation of CNP, there was no significant difference in the scores of self-efficacy, three dimensions of coping style and four dimensions quality of life between the two groups(P>0.05). After the implementation of CNP, the scores of self-efficacy, face dimension and quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01). The scores of surrender and avoidance dimensions decreased(P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The implementation of CNP can improve the self-efficacy, coping style and quality of life of pneumoconiosis patients.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To explore the application effect of clinical nursing pathway( CNP) in nursing care on patients with occupational noise-induced deafness( ONID) under medical observation.METHODS: The patients with ONID under medical observation in hospital were randomly selected and divided into CNP group( 50 cases) and control group( 50 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing care, and the CNP group was given CNP care according to the nursing path table.Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,Self-rating Depression Scale and SF-36 Scale were used to observe the anxiety, depression and quality of life of these two groups. The time and expenses of hospitalization, and degree of nursing satisfaction were also observed.RESULTS: Before nursing care implementation, the scores of anxiety, depression and 8 dimension of quality of life did not show statistical significance between these two groups( P > 0.05).After nursing care implementation, the improvement of anxiety, depression and quality of life in the CNP group were significantly better than that of the control group( P < 0.01).The patients in the CNP group had shorter duration of hospitalization( P < 0.01),decreased hospitalization expenses( P < 0.05),and increased nursing satisfaction( P < 0.01) compared with the control group.CONCLUSION: CNP implementation can effectively reduce the anxiety and depression symptoms of patient with ONID under medical observation during the diagnostic process of occupational diseases. It can reduce the time and costs of hospitalization, improve their quality of life and satisfaction of nursing care.CNP can be widely used in clinical practice.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of health education in the treatment of pneumoconiosis patients with bronchoalveoar lavage( BAL) during perioperative period. METHODS: Ninety-six pneumoconiosis patients treated with BAL in hospital were divided into observation group and control group( 48 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were given routine perioperative health education, and the patients in the observation group implemented perioperative health education in accordance with the health education pathway. Adverse reactions in hospital were collected, and the awareness of perioperative health knowledge of BAL was surveyed. RESULTS: Before implement of the health education pathway, there was no difference( P > 0. 05) in the health knowledge between the 2 groups. After implementation of the health education pathway, the awareness of health knowledge of observation group and control group were higher than that of the same group before implementation of the health education pathway( P < 0. 01). The awareness of 15 items of health knowledge was higher( P < 0. 05) and the incidences of intraoperative cough and postoperative low fever were lower in the observation group than in the control group( 4. 2% vs 25. 0%,2. 1% vs 16. 7%,P < 0. 05).CONCLUSION: Executing effective healthy education pathway in perioperative BAL is helpful to improve the knowledge of disease prevention and control in pneumoconiosis patients, and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions during BAL.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of exercise rehabilitation intervention by using self-efficacy theory on patients with chronic stable heart failure, and to provide evidences for rehabilitation nursing of patients. Methods Using the method of randomized controlled studies, 132 patients with chronic stable heart failure from Nanshitou Street and Shayuan Street communities in Haizhu, Guangzhou, Guangdong were randomly divided into two groups according to the community's name. The patients in the intervention group received self-efficacy and education intervention while the control group received health education only. The patients' exercise self-efficacy scores and six minute walk distances were separately measured by exercise self-efficacy scale and six minute walk test before and after intervention. Results The scores of exercise self-efficacy and six minute walk distances increased more significantly in the intervention group than in the control group after intervention (P<0.01). Conclusion Self-efficacy and education intervention can effectively improve the exercise self-efficacy and six minute walk distance of patients with heart failure.
