ABSTRACT
A pielonefrite enfisematosa é uma infecção renal de grande morbimortalidade, com clínica inespecífica, sendo a tríade febre, vômitos e dor lombar normalmente presente. O padrão ouro para diagnóstico é a tomografia computadorizada e o tratamento baseia-se em antibioticoterapia associado ou não à cirurgia. O objetivo deste artigo é relatar um caso de pielonefrite enfisematosa internado no Hospital Santa Casa de Curitiba e fazer uma breve revisão de literatura.
The emphysematous pyelonephritis is a urinary tract infection of great morbidity and mortality, with nonspecific clinical symptoms, fever, vomiting and back pain are normally present. The gold standard for diagnosis is computed tomography and treatment is based on surgery with or without antibiotics. The aim of this paper is to report a case of emphysematous pyelonephritis admitted at the Hospital Santa Casa de Curitiba and make a brief literature review.
