ABSTRACT
Introdução: Os hemangiomas são lesões vasculares proliferativas, benignas e relativamente freqüentes na clínica estomatológica. Cerca de 83% dos casos acometem região de cabeça e pescoço. Quando localizados na cavidade bucal, comumente acometem lábios, língua, mucosa jugal e palato. O tipo mais comum é o hemangioma capilar que raramente provoca sintomas significantes. Vários são os tratamentos recomendados, tais como: esclerose química, crio terapia, remoção cirúrgica, laserterapia ou a combinação destes. Método: O trabalho tem como proposta relatar um caso clínico de hemangioma capilar localizado em mucosa jugal, cuja regressão ocorreu após aplicação de um esclerosante químico, o oleato de monoetanolamina a 5% (Ethamolin®), durante intervalos quinzenais. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que a solução possui excelente resultado terapêutico, além de facilidade de uso.
Introduction: Hemangiomas are vascular proliferate benign lesions, frequent in the stomatology clinic. It can happen to any human sex or race, and it's most common during childhood. About 83% of the cases comprise the head and neck region. When located in the buccal cavity, they commonly affect lips, tongue, buccal mucous membrane and the palate. The most common kind is the capillary hemangioma, which rarely causes significant symptoms. There are several kinds of treatments for hemangioma, such as: chemical sclerosis, cryotherapy, surgery, lasertherapy or the combination of these treatments. The purpose of this work is to relate a clinical case of located capillary hemangioma at the buccal mucous membrane, of which reversion occurred after the use of a chemical sclerosing, a monoethanolamine oleate at 5% (Ethamolin®), during biweekly periods. It can be concluded that the solution brings excellent therapeutic results, in addition to being easy to use.
