Corpos estranhos nos seio da face são relativamente raros e resultam de traumas perfurantes de alta energia. Embora haja relatos envolvendo os seios etmoidais e esfenoidais, os seios frontal e maxilar são os mais frequentemente envolvidos. Foreign bodies in the paranasal sinuses are relatively rare and are the result of high energy trauma perforating. Although there are reports involving the ethmoid and sphenoid sinuses, the frontal and maxillary sinuses are most frequently involved.
