ABSTRACT

Se presenta el caso de un lactante con Hipomelanosis de Ito, considerado el tercer transtorno neurocutáneo más frecuente. Se caracteriza por presentar manchas hipocrómicas que siguenel trayecto de las líneas de blaschko, unilateral, asociado a trastornos neurológicos principalmente, oculares y ortopédicos. Es importante la sospecha clínica inicial para que con la ayuda deexámenes auxiliares se pueda determinar los sistemas afectados en este síndrome, para el informe familiar del pronóstico y seguimiento del paciente. No existen reportes en Perú deeste trastorno.


We hereby report a case of an infant with Hypomelanosis of Ito, considered the third most common neurocutaneous disorder. It is characterized by hypochromic spots along the lines of Blaschko, unilateral, mainly associatedwith neurological, ocular and orthopedicdisorders. It is important the initial clinical suspicion to request laboratory and imaging tests in order to determine the systems affected in this syndrome and family report for the prognosis and monitoring the patient. There are no reports of this disorder in Peru.
