ABSTRACT
O aspecto natural e a estética da interface dos tecidos moles e restaurações peri-implantares requerem uma faixa adequada de tecido queratinizado. A ausência desta representa um obstáculo à higiene bucal. O objetivo deste artigo foi descrever uma nova abordagem para o segundo estágio cirúrgico para implantes adjacentes na região posterior da maxila, visando aumentar a quantidade e a qualidade do tecido queratinizado em áreas onde este se encontra reduzido ou inexistente. A técnica de reposição apical com retalho palatino (Rarp) foi realizada e descrita em detalhes, através de um relato de caso clínico.
The natural aspect and esthetics of the peri-implant tissues and restorations requires a suitable range of keratinized tissue. Their absence also represents an obstacle to the oral hygiene. The pur pose of this article is to describe a new approach at the second surgical stage for adjacent implants in the posterior region of the maxilla aiming to increase the quantity and quality of the keratinized tissue in areas where it is reduced or nonexistent. The apical repositioning with palatal rotation (RARP) technique was performed and described in detail using a clinical case report.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo descrever o acompanhamento clínico e radiográfico, durante cinco anos, de um caso de reabilitação da região maxilar em que se utilizou enxerto homógeno fresco congelado proveniente de um banco de ossos. A reabilitação deu-se por meio de levantamento do seio maxilar bilateral e aumento da espessura do rebordo alveolar, o que possibilitou a instalação de implantes osseointegráveis e suas respectivas próteses. Observados os limites deste estudo de caso, concluiu-se que o enxerto homógeno é uma alternativa viável, segura e pouco traumática para o aumento ósseo com finalidade reabilitadora.
The aim of this paper is to report a clinical and radiograph five-year follow-up where a frozen, homogenous bone bank graft was used for reconstruction of a compromised maxillary arch. For this, bilateral sinus lifting was performed, with further increase of alveolar bone thickness, which provided an adequate site for dental implants and their respective prostheses. Within the limits of this case study, it was concluded that the allogeneic bone graft is a possible, secure, and non-traumatic alternative when used to increase the bone volume for further patient rehabilitation.
