ABSTRACT

Objective To study the curative effect and prognosis of malignant pleural effusion treated by staphylotoxoid injection and its effect on immune system. Methods A total of 65 patients with malignant pleural effusion from August 2012 to 2014 November in Lishui City Central Hospital were selected, and divided into observation group(n=33) and control group (n=32) in terms of different treating methods, two groups were implemented with thoracic closed drainage to drain pleural effusion up.The observation group was completely drained after 2 500 U intrapleural injection of staphylotoxoid injection, the control group to the traditonal method of bleomycin 1 mg/kg injection. The efficacy, prognosis and immune system were compared. Results The effective of rate of the observation group was significantly higher(72.7%) than the control group(43.8%);the adverse reaction rate of observation group was lower and its median survival time was longer;white blood cells counts of observation group was significantly more than control group ( P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional method of bleomycin intrapleural injection treatment of malignant pleural effusion, staphylotoxoid injection can be more effective control of the disease , reduce adverse reactions, and can improve their immunity and improve the body tolerance .

ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of An-pressing and Rou-kneading manipulations for exercise fatigue of the anterior tibial muscle. Methods: Sixty healthy subjects were randomly divided into two groups, 30 in each group. Isokinetic test training was employed to induce left anterior tibial muscle fatigue. After this, subjects in the observation group received 5 min of tuina treatment, while subjects in the control group just lay down for 5 min. Then the integral myoelectricity, maximum amplitude, mean frequency and slope of the anterior tibial muscle and gastrocnemius muscle were measured using a surface electromyography (EMG) during the passive movements of the ankle joints in two groups. Results: Before treatment, the integral myoelectricity, maximum amplitude, mean frequency and slope of the anterior tibial muscle during exercise in two groups were consistent under isokinetic mode (P>0.05). After 5 min of tuina or rest, the myoelectric signals during exercise in two groups were both decreased. However, subjects in the observation group obtained a remarkably increased gain and gain rates of myoelectric signal than the control group (P<0.05). This indicates that the myoelectric signals were not fully recovered, but tuina has a better effect than rest on improving the myoelectric signal of the anterior tibia. Conclusion: Rest and tuina can both improve muscle fatigue. Tuina can obtain a better effect within the same time frame.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The clinical effects of rubbing therapy with ointment in treating patella strain were observed. Method: Forty-two cases of patella strain were treated by local rubbing with ointment and the changes of the clinical symptoms were observed. Results: After 3 courses of treatment, the total effective rate was 95.2%.Conclusion: It is indicated that rubbing therapy with ointment has good effects in the treatment of patella strain.
