Both groups were treated for one course of 4 weeks. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 93.3% and 71.1% respectively, showing significant difference between the two groups (X2=7.2938, P<0.01 ). ABSTRACT

Objective Objective Research on the change of levels of interleukin 12 (IL-12),interleukin4 (IL-4) and immunoglobulin E(Ig E)in asthmatic children. Methods 20 asthmatic children in attack stage and 20 asthmatic children in remission stage were as sample cases. The serum levels of IL-12,IL-4 and Ig E were detect with ELISA.Results IL-12 level of children in attack stage was obviously lower than those in remission stage and healthy children (P<0.05);IL-4 and Ig E level of children in attack stage was obviously higher than those in remission stage and healthy children (P<0.05);IL-4 level of children in remission stage was obviously higher than healthy children (P<0,05);The level of IL-12 was in negative correlation with that of IgE in asthmatic children, while the level of IL-4 was in positive correlation with that of IgE in asthmatic children. Conclusions Asthmatic children have lower level of IL-12 and higher levels of IL-4 and Ig E.
