ABSTRACT

El estudio del contenido de los documentos históricos en la asignatura Historia de Cuba es fundamental para favorecer la educación de valores tales como: patriotismo, solidaridad, honestidad, responsabilidad y la sensibilidad humana en los estudiantes de ciencias médicas. Para ello se emplearon las formas fundamentales del proceso docente-educativo: la conferencia, la clase práctica y el seminario, formas que fundamentan y propician como esencia educativa el análisis, el debate y la reflexión, lo que convierte al estudiante en sujeto y objeto en su formación como futuro profesional de la salud. Se utilizaron métodos empíricos: la observación participante, el análisis del programa de la disciplina y el libro de texto básico de la asignatura.


Studying the content of historical documents in the subject History of Cuba is paramount to foster education of values such as patriotism, solidarity, honesty, responsibility, and human sensitivity in students of medical sciences. Therefore, the main forms of the teaching-educational process were used: the lecture, the practical lesson, and the seminar, which support and encourage, as educational essence, the analysis, the debate, and the reflection, which turns the student into subject and object in their training as future health professionals. Empirical methods were used: participant observation, analysis of the discipline program, and the basic textbook of the subject.
