ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the application effect of improved drainage bag carrying method in the nursing of biliary drainage tube.@*Methods@#Sixty-five patients with biliary drainage tube were divided into two groups by convenient sampling. There were 33 cases in the control group and 32 cases in the observation group. When going out of bed, the observation group used the improved drainage bag carrying method to carry the drainage bag, and the control group used the traditional hand-held method or the S-hook external drainage bag. The catheter drainage failure rate, decoupling rate, retrograde infection rate, and satisfaction of tube activity in the two groups were compared between the two groups.@*Results@#There were no significant differences in catheter drainage failure rate, decoupling rate and retrograde infection rate between the two groups (P>0.05). The satisfaction of the tube with the improved drainage bag carrying method was (10.22±0.94) points, while (7.36±1.03) points in the contrast group. There was statistically significance between the two groups (t=11.685, P< 0.05).@*Conclusion@#The improved drainage bag carrying method has improved the quality of care in the department of catheter care, and the patient′s satisfaction with the nursing staff has also been improved.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze stress distribution changes in patellofemoral joints before and after arthroscopic surgery by lateral retinacular release and medial retinaculum placation using three-dimensional (3D) finite element method. Methods The 3D finite element model of pre-and post-operative patellofemoral joints for patients with patellofemoral joint disorders were constructed, and the maximum stress and stress distributions on patellofemoral joints at different flexion angles (30°,60°,90°,120°) under the load of 120 N were calculated and analyzed. Results The maximum stress of patellofemoral joints at different flexion angles after arthroscopic surgery significantly smaller than that before arthroscopic surgery. The stress concentrated on the lateral patellofemoral joints before the surgery, but was redistributed after the surgery. Conclusions The stress on patellofemoral joints at different flexion angles is reduced after arthroscopic surgery by lateral retinacular release and medial retinaculum placation, which provides an objective theoretic reference for arthroscopic surgery to effectively restore stress balance between lateral and medial patellofemoral joints. It is suggested that patients with early patellofemoral joint disorders and abnormal force line should be treated with surgery intervention as early as possible.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the living situations of primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) patients of different ages after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).Methods By convenience sampling,153 PHC patients after TACE were enrolled from a Glass 1 Grade A hospital.Their data were collected with general data questionnaire,Zung's SDS scale, quality of life cancer (QOL-LC),memorial symptom assessment scales and social support scale to investigate the PHC patients. Results The differences were statistically significant in view of cultural level, marriage status, occupation, state of the economy, family type, preoperative health training,AFP (alpha fetoprotein),and physical stamina score (all P<0.05).Among the groups of different ages, there were also statistically significant differences in terms of depression, life quality, symptom burdens and social support.More exactly, the level of depression in the group of middle age was significantly higher than that of the group of old age;The symptom burdens of the group of young age and middle age were higher than those of the group of old age.The social support and life quality of the groups of young age and middle age was both higher than that of the group of old age (all P<0.05).Conclusions The living situations of PHC patients of different ages after TACE are different.Doctors and nurses should consider the differences in their depression, quality of life, and social support so as to take pertinent interventions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Profile of Fatigue Scale (PROF)among the patients with Sjogren′s syndrome. Methods The English version of PROF was translated into Chinese according to Brislin Translation Model. 107 patients with Sjogren′s syndrome were investigated to test its reliability and validity. Results The Cronbachαcoefficient , Guttman split-half coefficient, test-retest reliability and content validity of Chinese version of PROF were 0.976, 0.953, 0.872 and 0.875. Two factors were extracted by factor analysis and the cumulated variance was 80.75%. The structure of PROF was in line with the original scale. The criterion-related validity was 0.621 measured by comparing with visual analog scale of fatigue, and was -0.707 measured by comparing with vitality domain in the MOS item Short From Health Survey (SF-36). Conclusions The Chinese version of PROF has been proved to be reliable and valid. It can be used to measure the fatigue in Chinese patients with Sjogren′s syndrome.

ABSTRACT

Objective The objective of this study was to explore the difference factors for PHC patients by transcatheter arterial chemoembolization of different age groups of senior people in China and support reference for individualized intervention by clinical medical workers. Methods 153 cases of PHC patients by TACE were selected by convenience sampling method from October 2013 to June 2014.The data were collected using general data questionnaire,Health Promotion Strategy Scale,QOL-LC,Memorial Symptom Assessment Scales and Social Support Scale to evaluate the physical, psychological and social aspects of the PHC patients. We divided the patients into young,middle-aged and elderly groups.Single factor and multiple factors regression analysis were used to compare the status and influencing factors. Results Psychological function, value of blood AFP,marital status entered the model and were self-care efficacy and correlated factors of young-aged patients, which could explain 50.6% of the total varience.Physical symptoms, exploitation degree of support and intervention treatment times entered the model and were self-care efficacy and correlated factors of middle-aged patients, which could explain 47.8% of the total varience.Symptom distress, degree of cuhural and psychological function entered the model and were self-care efficacy and correlated factors of elderly-aged patients, which could explain 42.4% of the total varience. Conclusions The self-care efficacy were low in all ages of PHC patients by TACE,it is associated with a variety of factors.Doctors and nurses should pay more attention to the self-care efficacy for PHC patients by transcatheter arterial chemoembolization with different age groups. Also we should evaluate and make well-targeted policies and personalized inter-ventions to promote self-management self-efficacy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the influence of the early ambulation on postoperative patients' comfort and complications with the femoral artery puncture interventional therapy. Methods After searching for related literatures with computer,we evaluated the quality of the literatures and screened them.12 random controlled trials met the inclusion criterion.Using RevMan 5.1.2 software,we respectively made Meta analysis for patients with sense of comfort and complications after operations. Results Compared with the control groups, the experimental groups were better in back pain, abdominal pain, limb numbness and acid bilges, sleep disorder, dysuria and urinary retention than those of the control groups. And the difference in the site of puncture bleeding and hematoma had no statistical significance between the two groups. Conclusions It can improve comfort for patients without increasing incidence rate of complications by lying in bed and rest for 12 hours after interventional therapy. It reflects the patient-centered nurs-ing service concept and can improve the patients' quality of life.

ABSTRACT

Objective Using the evidence-based medicine to investigate the effect of cognitive behavior intervention on physical and mental health in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Controlled studies related to psychological intervention on depression and glyeosylated hemoglobin in patients with type 2 diabetes were retrieved from electronic databases such as CNKI,VIP,Wanfang database and Pubmed, etc. The quality of included studies was evaluated and then data were analyzed by using RevMan5 software. Results A total of 273 articles were retrieved and finally 6 were enrolled. Results of Meta analysis were listed as follows:Cognitive behavior intervention could reduce score of Self-rated Depression Scale (SDS) in patients with diabetes mellitus.Cognitive behavior intervention could effectively reduce glycosylated hemoglobin values in patients with diabetes mellitus. Conclusions Cognitive behavior intervention can improve physical and mental health, decrease glycosylated hemoglobin and improve depression status in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, all the trials included in this review are of low quality; larger scale RCTs of higher quality are needed to confirm this conclusion.
