ABSTRACT

Conociendo la efectividad analgésica de los antagonistas de los receptores NMDA, se evaluó la posible actividad nociceptiva del péptido BLMP-101, agonista de los NMDA, diseñado para potenciar el aprendizaje/memoria. 32 ratas Wistar –hembras y machos–, se dividieron en 4 grupos y se inyectaron i.p.: BLMP-101 (0.01mg, 0.1mg y 0.5mg) y el control con solución salina, durante 11 días consecutivos. Después de 15 minutos de ser inyectadas seobservaba diariamente, por un periodo de 15 minutos, si cada rata presentaba conductas nociceptivas espontáneas en 26 modalidades. Los datos se analizaron a través del análisis devarianza mixto con un a < 0.05. No se encontraron alteraciones importantes. Los resultados sugieren descartar la actividad nociceptiva del BLMP-101 en estas dosis y cronicidad estudiada.


Based on the analgesic effect of NMDA antagonist receptors, the nociceptive action of the peptide BLMP-101 is evaluated, agonist of NMDA, designed to boost learning/memory. 32Wistar rats (male and female) were divided into four groups and were injected IP with differentBLMP-101 doses (0.01 mg, 0.1 mg, and 0.5 mg) and a control group with physiological saline solution, during 11 days. Daily behavior of animals was registered 15 minutes after injection,and appearance of 26 nociceptive related variables was checked. Data was analyzed by mixed variance with a < 0.05. No important alterations were found. Results suggest that the BLMP-101 peptide does not present nociceptive activity at levels and periodicity used in this study.
