ABSTRACT
Se describe mediante ejemplos clínicos algunos recursos terapeúticos que utilizamos en la práctica diaria para la tracción de caninos retenidos empleando aparatología lingual.
By clinical examples it is described some therapeutic resources we use in the daily practice for the traction of impact canines by using lingual appliances. Besides, our evolution through the application of new devices that have been emerging and have allowed us to simplify the mechanics we use, avoiding secondary movements on the anchor, as well as improving the comfort and health of our patients by decreasing the amount of time that the brackets appliance takes.

A lo largo de la historia de la ortodoncia numerosas técnicas han sido propuestas para la corrección de la relación de Clase II de Angle. Presentando su aplicación en un caso clínico se expone un método simple y efectivo para el tratamiento de molares en distoclusión, la barra vestibular de Atkinson, y se describe su diseño, confección y efecto biomecánico. Este poco difundido procedimiento es utilizado por los autores en su práctica diaria, y contribuye con su simplicidad y eficacia a la solución de muchas situaciones clínicas
Throughout orthodontics history many techniques have been proposed to correct Angle Class II malocclusion. Applied to a clinical case, a simple and effective method for treatment of distal molar relation, Atkinson´s labial bar, is shown as well as its design, fabrication and biomechanical effect. This scantly spread procedure is used by the authors in their daily practice, and due to its simplicity and efficacy, it contributes to solve many clinical situations
