ABSTRACT

Two hundred and twelve infertile males [one hundred and six with varicocele and one hundred and six without] were investigated in this work by clinical examination and semen analysis. The results revealed a highly significant decreased in the mean sperm concentration [23.7 +/- 2.30 million/ml]in patients with varicocele compared with those without. However, the mean percentage of abnormal forms [47.7 +/- 7.63] and the immature forms [8.3 +/- 0.81] were significantly increased in patients with varicocele than those without. The highest percentage of abnormal forms of the head was that of the small heads [16.7%], followed by the amorphous forms [10.6%], while the tapering forms constituted [3.7%]
