ABSTRACT

Se reporta el caso de una mujer de 26 años, de 30 semanas de gestación con útero didelfo, quien presenta abundante secreción purulenta por vía vaginal, dolor urente leve en fosa iliaca derecha. Los análisis de laboratorio mostraron proteína C reactiva 11,38 mg/dl, el GRAM de secreción vaginal con 25 a 30 leucocitos por campo, escasa presencia de coccus gram positivos, leucocitosis, anemia leve, Test de Ferm negativo; en la colposcopia se evidenció secreción purulenta oscura por cérvix rudimentario. Recibió tratamiento antibiótico conservador y drenaje de pus. No hubo afectación del feto y la paciente evolucionó favorablemente.


We report the case of a 26 year-old woman with a gestation of 30 weeks with a didelphys uterus, who presented back episodes of pelvic inflammatory disease and urinary tract infection, is referred to our Service with abundant purulent vaginal discharge. Upon physical examination showed yellowish vaginal discharge in limited quantity with no odor, mild burning pain in right iliac fossa. Laboratory tests showed C-reactive protein 11.38 mg/dl, vaginal secretion GRAM 25 x30 leukocytes per field, low presence of gram-positive coccus, leukocytosis, mild anemia, Ferm test negative, colposcopy showeddark purulent discharge by a rudimentary cervix. Received antibiotic therapy and pus drainage. There was no involvement of the fetus and the patient improved favorably.
