ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of timeliness motivation theory-based continuing care on the self-care ability and healthy behavior in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods A total of 202 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes in our hospital were selected, and were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table, with 101 cases in each group. The control group were given healthy related education during hospitalization , and post-discharge telephone follow-up every month, lasting 10~15min each time. The observation group were additionally given timeliness motivation theory-based continuing care by telephone follow-up each month , including emotional arousal , need motivation , examples stimulating and benefit motivation, lasting 6 months. Their self-care ability and healthy behavior in the two groups were compared. Result The self-care ability in the observation group was significantly significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.001), and had significantly much more healthy behaviors than the latter (P < 0.001). Conclusion Timeliness motivation theory-based continuing care can improve the self-care ability and healthy behavior in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the level change of peripheral blood lymphocyte subgroup ,the erythrocyte zinc and hs-CRP in children with hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) .Methods Children with severe HFMD in this hospital were selected as experi-mental group ,and children in health that received physical examination in this hospital were selected as control group .Level of the peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets ,erythrocyte zine and hs-CRP were detected .Results In the HFMD group ,total T cell percent-age(CD3 + ) ,auxiliary/ induced T cells (CD3 + CD4 + ) percentage ,inhibit/cytotoxic T cells(CD3 + CD8 + ) percentage ,and the eryth-rocyte zine levels were all significantly lower than that of the control group(P< 0 .05) ,while the hs-CRP determination level ,B cells (CD19 + ) percentage were significantly higher than those of the control group(P< 0 .05) .Conclusion Children with severe HFMD have cellular immunity and hormone immunity function disorder and are lack of erythrocyte zinc .And their body cannot effectively resist infection virus ,which can lead to secondary bacterial infection .

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To diagnoze active ankylosing spondylitis (AAS) by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).@*METHODS@#MRI of the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) was performed on 48 patients who were clinically diagnosed as probable AS without radiologic evidence of sacroiliitis. Among them 21 were diagnozed as active sacroiliitis with MRI, whose examination was terminated; 27 whose MRI of SIJ did not diagnoze as active sacroiliitis were performed MRI in the thoracic spine. The diagnostic criteria of MRI for AAS of SIJ and/or the thoracic spine were fomulated by consulting documents. The definite diagnosis of AAS was finally made after follow-up for half a year. The sensitivity and specificity of the MRI of SIJ and/or MRI of thoracic spine were assessed.@*RESULTS@#In the 48 patients without radiologic evidence of sacroiliitis, 38 were finally diagnosed as AAS, with established consensus criteria as reference standard. The sensitivity and specificity of the MRI of SIJ were 52.6% and 90.0%, and for the MRI of SIJ and/or the MRI of the thoracic spine 76.3% and 90.0%, respectively.@*CONCLUSION@#Clinically probable AS without MRI evidence of sacroiliitis, MRI of the thoracic spine can increase the sensitivity of AAS diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore whether abnormal brain activity exists in schizophrenics during resting state by fMRI technique and regional homogeneity(ReHo)approach. Methods: fMRI images were obtained in resting state from 18 patients with schizophrenia diagnosed with the DSM-Ⅳ criteria and 18 control subjects. The newly published ReHo approach was applied for fMRI data analysis. Results: Patients with schizophrenia showed decreased ReHo of BOLD signal in resting brain compared with control subjects(P
