Perfil das vítimas de ferimento por arma de fogoem um município do estado do Rio de Janeiro / Victims’ profile by firearm related injuries in the municipality of the state ofRio de Janeiro

Estudo de abordagem quantitativa do tipo survey descritivo/exploratório com recorte retrospectivo entre 2011 e 2012. Tevecomo objetivo geral investigar o perfil das vítimas dos ferimentos por arma de fogo sob a égide social em uma cidade domunicípio do Rio de Janeiro entendendo que a violência urbana perpassa por variadas dimensões de análise dentre elasa social, política e cultural. As fontes de consulta constaram dos talões registro das ocorrências realizadas pelo vigésimoquinto batalhão de polícia militar do estado do Rio de Janeiro – 25º bpm, situado no município de Cabo Frio (RJ). Foramencontradas 305 notificações de vítimas por PAF em ambos os anos pesquisados, sendo 96% das vítimas identificadasquanto a gênero e faixa etária, sendo 55% das vítimas entre 15-30 anos. Os bairros em que ocorreram maior número deeventos eram constituídos na sua maioria de comunidades compostas por indivíduos de baixos níveis econômicos e sociais.A contribuição do estudo está ancorada em ações preventivas de orientação à população local, bem como à elaboração depolíticas públicas de segurança e de sensibilidação para participação comunitária no combate e minimização dos índicescolaborativos da violência urbana local.

Study of quantitative approach of descriptive/exploratory survey type with retrospective study between 2011 and 2012. Thegeneral objective was to investigate the victim’s profile related to firearm injury under the social aegis in a town of the Riode Janeiro City, understanding that the urban violence crosses across several analysis dimensions among them: the social,the political and the cultural. The consultation sources came from occurrence forms taken by the twenty fifth battalionof the Rio de Janeiro state military police– known as 25th BPM, located in Cabo Frio (RJ) Municipality. There were found305 notifications of victims of PAF in both of years researched, which 96% of the victims were identified by gender andage-group, and another 55% of the victims were between fifteen and thirty years old. The neighborhoods that occurredthe largest amount of events were comprised for the most part from communities composed of low economic-social levelsof individuals. The study contribution is anchored in orientation to preventive actions to the local population as well as tothe elaboration of security public policies and awareness for the participation to combat and minimize the collaborativeindexes of the local urban violence.
