ABSTRACT

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has outbroken globally. As an acute infectious disease, COVID-19 has significant impacts on multiple organs and systems throughout the body. Among patients with COVID-19, especially severe and critical cases, a variety of potential risk factors for coagulation dysfunction exist. Furthermore, the coagulation dysfunction of COVID-19 patients was mainly characterized by elevated D-dimer levels. The coagulation dysfunction could directly affect the prognosis of COVID-19 patients and is a major cause of death in patients with severe COVID-19. In this article, the literatures on the basic clinical manifestations, clinical risk factor, mechanism of coagulation dysfunction and evaluation of coagulation function in COVID-19 were reviewed.

ABSTRACT

Objective To provide references for enriching and innovating patterns of TCM syndrome differentiation by exploring the relationship between pathological changes and TCM syndrome differentiation of delayed graft function (DGF) after renal transplantation. Methods Totally 57 patients with DGF after renal transplantation who were diagnosed by pathological biopsy were also diagnosed by TCM doctors to obtain TCM syndromes. And the pathological diagnoses were compared with the distribution of TCM syndromes to discuss the relationship between them. Results All the patients were classified into four TCM syndromes:spleen-kidney qi deficiency, liver-kidney yin deficiency, qi-stagnation and blood stasis, and deficiency of both qi and yin. The results of pathological biopsy were as follows:acute tubular necrosis, calcineurin inhibitor toxicity and acute rejection. Quantitative corresponding relation was found between the pathological diagnoses and the TCM syndromes. Conclusion There are inner links between pathological diagnosis and TCM syndromes of DGF, which can be references for diagnosis and treatment of TCM syndrome differentiation.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the anatomical features of the mine wound and provide anatomical basis for the treatment through anatomical observation of the mine wound amputation stump. Methods Three mine wound amputation stumps were dissected. The nerves, arteries and veins were separated and the length of the muscle, nerves, blood vessels and bleeding area were measured, respectively. The sec-tions of muscle tissue were observed by microscope. Results Most of the muscle tissues, nerves and blood vessels were torn and the fractures were comminuted. Observed by the microscope found that the distal muscle tissue was broken, the muscle fiber was contracted, ruptured and mortified. The muscle tissues of proximal part showed edema, most of the muscle fiber was normal and light stain, their texture was fuzzy. Conclusion The mine wound has remote effect. The shock wave of mine explosion may spread along the limbs, which leads to the tissues ruptured and hemorrhage.
