Teratoma rectal: Reporte de un caso

El Teratoma Primario es una entidad extremadamente rara en el tracto gastrointestinal. Es un tumor mixto, compuesto por células de los tres estratos germinales. Afecta principalmente gónadas y retroperitoneo. Hasta el año 2000 solo se habían reportado 49 casos en la literatura mundial. En el presente estudio se reporta un Teratoma Rectal Primario que fue diagnosticado y resecado endoscópicamente.

Primary Teratomas of the gastrointestinal tract are extremely rare entities. They are tumors composed by cells of the three germ layers and affect mainly the gonads and the retroperitoneum. Until the year 2000 only 49 cases had been reported on world literature. This study reports a Primary Rectal Teratoma diagnosed and resected through endoscopy.
