ABSTRACT
A preocupação com a estética é o grande motivo que leva pacientes a procurarem tratamento ortodôntico, fazendo com que os profissionais busquem cada vez mais conhecimento para suprir a principal expectativa de seus pacientes, mas também a prevenção de possíveis iatogenias, como a alteração da cor original da superfície dentária, que pode ocorrer após a remoção dos braquetes. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar alterações cromáticas do esmalte bovino, após remoção de braquetes ortodônticos, e depois da realização do teste de envelhecimento laboratorial utilizando dois sistemas de união resinosos, a resina Fill Magic Ortodontic e o sistema de união com Transbond XT mais resina TPH incisal. As leituras de colorimetria foram feitas em três tempos diferentes: T1 (inicial antes colagem), T2 (após remoção dos braquetes) e T3 (após envelhecimento laboratorial equivalente a quatro anos). Concluímos que não ocorreram alterações no Grau de Amarelo, estatisticamente significante, após remoção de braquetes; contudo, após a realização do teste de envelhecimento laboratorial, houve aumento do Grau de Amarelo, ou seja, escurecimento dos dentes, estatisticamente significante e clinicamente relevante, para os grupos experimentais.
The concern with the esthetics is the great reason that take patient they seek it orthodontic treatment, doing with that the professionals look for knowledge more and more to supply their patients' main expectation, but also the prevention of possible iatrogenesis, as the alteration of the original color of the dental surface, after the removal of the brackets can happen. The objective of this study was to evaluate chromatic alterations of the bovine enamel, after removal of orthodontic brackets and after the accomplishment of the test of aging laboratorial using two resinous union systems, the resin Fill Magic Ortodontic and the union system with Transbond XT more resin TPH incisal. The colorimeter readings were made in three different times: T1 (initial before collage), T2 (after removal of the brackets) and T3 (after laboratory aging equivalent to four years). We concluded that didn 't happen alterations in the degree of yellow, significant estatisticamente, after brackets removal, however, after accomplishment of the test of laboratory aging, there was increase of the degree of yellow, in other words, darkening ofthe teeth, significant statistics and clinically relevant, for the trial groups.
