ABSTRACT

El carcinoma cloacogénico es un tumor anorectal raro, que se desarrolla a partir de un vestigio embrionario la membrana cloacal, la cual tiene epitelio transicional. Esta condición representa el 2 a 3%de todos los tumores malignos anorectales. Ocurre frecuentemente en mujeres. Los síntomas más comunes son el dolor rectal y el sangrado. El tratamiento quirúrgico electivo es la resección abdominoperineal y la tasa de sobrevida a los 5 años fue de 47 a 50%. Se reportan dos casos.


Cloacogenic carcinoma, a rare anorectal tumor, develops from the embrionic vestigial cloacal membrane, which is made of transitional type epithelium. This condition accounts for 2 to 3% of all anorectal malignant tumors and occurs frecuently in women. The most common symptoms being rectal pain and bleeding. In the 2 cases studied surgical treatment consisted of abdominal resection; 5 year survival rate was 47 to 50%. 2 cases were studied in our surgical service in the Rebagliati Hospital from Lima.
