ABSTRACT

The method for analyzing the interaction between caffeine and human serum albumin (HSA) was established by capillary electrophoresis. Under physiological conditions, the interaction between ligand (caffeine)-receptor (HSA) was studied with frontier-analysis (FA) method, Hummel-Dreyer (HD) method and plug-plug kinetic (PPK) method. The interaction parameters of caffeine-HSA system were obtained using non-linear equation, Scatchard equation and Klotz equation. The results showed that FA, HD and PPK methods were suitable for caffeine-HSA system, among them, HD method was the best, and the Non-linear equation was the best theoretical model to caffeine-HSA system. Interaction parameter tests showed that caffeine-HSA interaction was a single site interaction and the binding stability was moderate. The mechanism of caffeine-HSA interaction has been elucidated, which can provide valuable information for further research of alkaloids.

ABSTRACT

Currently, artificial intelligence technology is being developed rapidly and is used in many clinical areas, especially in stomatology. The application of artificial intelligence technology in stomatology is a new technological revolution. This study focuses on artificial intelligence and its application status. The advantages, current situation, and development prospect of the application of artificial intelligence technology in stomatology treatment and nursing, such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, implant, prosthetics, orthodontics, oral medicine therapy, guidance, and teaching, are provided.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the situation about the dental impression disinfection knowledge of the medical staff in stomatological hospitals.

METHODSA questionnaire investigation was conducted on 582 medical staff in five Grade A Class Three stomatological hospitals. The investigation items included demographic characteristics and knowledge on dental impression disinfection.

RESULTSOf 582 subjects, 424 subjects (72.85%) thought that the dental impressions should be disinfected. 76 persons chose 75% alcohol to disinfect the dental impressions, 26 persons chose povidone iodine or glutaral, 103 persons chose sterilization machine, 180 persons chose to wash with water, and 197 persons were unknown about the sterilization methods. The status of the staff grasping knowledge on dental impression disinfection was related with the working department.

CONCLUSIONOur results suggest that it is necessary to strengthen the importance of impression disinfection to medical staff in stomatological hospitals. The consciousness of protection should be enhanced to reduce the cross infection in hospitals.
