ABSTRACT

Objective To detect the expression levels of cytokines in peripheral blood of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and to explore their clinical significances. Methods The levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-2R, IL-6, IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and IL-10 in peripheral blood of 38 newly diagnosed patients with DLBCL and 20 healthy adults in Anqing Municipal Hospital from April 2013 to January 2017 were detected and analyzed by immunofluorescence method. Results The levels of IL-2R, IL-6, IL-8, TNF and IL-10 in DLBCL group were significantly higher than those in healthy control group (all P< 0.05). The levels of IL-2R and TNF in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ group [(5985±26) U/ml and (42.2±5.8) pg/ml)] were higher than those in stageⅠ-Ⅱ group [(3672 ±28) U/ml and (30.4 ±2.6) pg/ml] (t values were 34.861 and 28.451; P values were 0.023 and 0.038 respectively). The levels of IL-2R and IL-10 in the high-risk group (IPI 4-5) [(6322±36) U/ml and (77±7) pg/ml] were higher than those in the low-risk group (IPI 0-1) [(2567± 32) U/ml and (50±5) pg/ml)] (t values were 58.327 and 24.264; P values were 0.001 and 0.041 respectively). IL-2R, IL-6 and IL-10 levels in patients with B symptom group [(6234±26) U/ml, (38.1±2.3) pg/ml, (90± 10) pg/ml] were higher than those in patients without B symptom group [(6234 ±26) U/ml, (38.1 ±2.3) pg/ml, (90±10) pg/ml) (t values were 32.263,24.321, 36.529; P values were 0.027, 0.043, 0.020). Conclusion The levels of IL-2R, IL-6, IL-8, TNF and IL-10 in DLBCL patients are higher than those in healthy controls, and the levels of cytokines are correlated with the clinical characteristics of DLBCL patients.

ABSTRACT

anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity in patients with lymphoma. Methods Thirty-two adult patients with nonHodgkin' s lymphoma who received chemotherapy including anthracyclin were studied. After anthracyclin reached the cumulative doses of 200 and 400 mg/m-2,the changes in plasma BNP and echocardiography indices were investigated. Results After the cumulative anthracyclin reached doses of 200 and 400 mg/m2,serum BNP were respectively (292±7) ng/ml and (387±4) ng/ml,and were significantly increased when compared to the untreated (134±6) ng/ml (P < 0.05).The parameter of diastolic functions ratio of peak early to peak late low velocity (E/A ratio)were 1.14±0.37 and 0.90±0.06,both showing significant decreases compared to the control (1.33±0.27) (P < 0.05).In contrast, systolic function parameters left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) and fractional shortening (FS) remained unchanged (P > 0.05).After the cumulative anthracyclin reached 200 and 400 mg/m2,significant negative correlations were observed between the plasma BNP and the E/A ratio (r =-0.689,P=0.042; r=-0.557,P =0.006),but no associations between EF and FS were found (P > 0.05).Conclusion Plasma BNP concentration appears to be a sensitive parameter for the early assessment of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity.

ABSTRACT

Objective To survey the distribution and amibiotie resistance of bacterium isolated from hospitalized patients with hematolegical diseases. Methods Bacterial strains were isolated from patients with hematological disease.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was done by the method of minimum inhibitory concentration. Results A total of 56 bacterial strains were isolated from all kinds of specimens, including blood, phlegm and urine.14.3% were gram-positive and 85.7% were gram-negative bacterium.Escheriehia coli and pseudomonas aeruginosa account for 21.4% of gram-negative bacterium, respectively.Detection rates of ESBLs in E.coli and K.pneumoniae were 75.0%(8/12)and 33.3%(2/6),respectively.Conclusion Our data may have great significance for the empirical use of antimicrobial agents in the treatment of infections in patients with hematological disease.
