ABSTRACT

Pinellia ternata(Thunb)Breit.was one of the common herbs in clinic and pharmaceutical industry of traditional Chinese medicine.Because of being over excavated of wild Pinellia temata(Thunb)Breit.year by year,the supply was unable to meet the demand at domestic market.In order to keep the supply richly and utilization persistently,we have studied the planting of wild Pinellia ternata(Thunb)Breit.for years.This paper was focused on the reviews of technology about breeding,planting,field management,cropping,processing and store of Pinellia ternata(Thunb)Breit.

ABSTRACT

History and current situation of hospital preparation in our country and practical demands of pharmaceutical industry were analyzed. With the implementation of GMP in pharmaceutical industry and enhanced drug administration, lots of problems were exposed. The scale of hospital preparation was decreasing year by year, though it still stayed at a predominate position in hospital works currently.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the differences of the active components of different parts of rhubarb(the head,the body and the end part of the root)from genuine medicinal materials in Gansu province so as to provide theoretical basis for its quality control.METHODS:A comparative study of the fingerprints of different parts of rhubarb extract were conducted by HPLC,in which,the C18 was used as the chromatographic column under room temperature,the mobile phase consisted of menthol-0.1%H3PO4(70∶30)with a flow rate of 1.0ml/min,the column's temperature of room temperature and detection wavel_ ength of 280nm.RESULTS:Significant differences were noted in the HPLC fingerprints of different parts of rhubarb,there were significant differences in the contents of the active components such as emodin,chrysophanol,etc.,the contents decreased progressively from the head of root,the body part to the end part.CONCLUSION:In order to ensure the medical value and the quality of rhubarb medicinal material,different parts of which should be differentiated in the quality control.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of the hematostatic effective components of Herba Lamiophlomis rotata on rat’s blood conglomeration parameters.The toxicity of these components was simultaneously studied.METHODS:Herba Lamiophlomis rotata water extract (HLRE)(3g?kg-1),Total Flavonoids(P1,0.36g?kg-1),Total Iridoid Glycosides(P2,0.99g ?kg-1),Maximus Polarity Components(P3,1.65g?kg-1)and normal sodium NS were given orally in rats for 14 days.Blood samples were collected from common carotid artery;prothrombin time (PT),activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT),thrombin time (TT)and fibrinogen (FIB)were tested.Different oral doses of(P2 ,1.4,0.7,0.35 g?kg-1)and Yunnan white powder (BY,0.9g?kg-1)were given to rats and conglomeration parameters were determined too.The maximum tolerable dose (MTD)and LD50 of mice were determined after different doses of P2 were given with oral administration and intraperitoneal injection.RESULTS:Compared to NS control group,each composition of Lamiophlomis rotata Kudo can shorten the TT by 18.59%、—3.12%、24.11%and 9.92%respectively,and increase the content of FIB by 25.32%、8.67%、28.29%and 5.36%respectively.There was obvious change in HLRE and P2(P

ABSTRACT

AIM To evaluate the antagonizing activity of iQWcF, a modified tripeptide, to endothelin receptors. METHORDS ①Vasoconstriction experiments with aorta strips of rats. ② In vivo experiments:male normotensive Wistar rats were anesthetized with pentobarbital Na (50 mg?kg -1 ),and catheterized into the carotic artery for measurement of blood pressure, and into the femoral vein for administration of iQWcF (30 mg?kg -1 ) and ET 1(0 9 nmol?kg -1 ). The test compound was given intravenously 5 min before the bolus injection of ET 1. Control animals received saline on the same time schedule.The blood pressure was recorded at different time interval after injecting ET 1. RESULTS ①iQWcF prohibited the vascontriction of aorta induced by ET 1 in a concentration dependent fashion.②The compound(30 mg?kg -1 .iv) markedly antagonized ET 1 induced the long lasting pressor phase mediated by ET A without affecting early transient depressor phase by ET B. CONCLUSION iQWcF is one of ET A selective antagonists.
